If it does come out, it really makes you wonder what the hell happened with the Batman / TMNT movie. They really dropped the ball there for an apparently great movie with a cool looking SB.

The only thing I can think of is Nickelodeon. They own the Turtles and it’s the only variable in all the DCAU releases. I’m sure some weird contract/licensing stuff kept the steelbook from happening here in the US.

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders and Batman Vs. Two-Face also aren’t technically part of the DC Universe line but they did receive US steelbooks. But animated titles like Vixen, The Ray, and Constantine: City of Demons are also not considered DC Universe, and none received steelbooks. I don’t think anyone dropped the ball on Batman Vs. TMNT, as it was never considered part of the series that receives steelbooks. Maybe the Paramount/Nickelodeon connection factored into the mix as well. However, it is odd that the US did not get a steel for it when other regions did, but that’s why I simply imported mine. |

It's already out digitally and leaked all over online. The general consensus is that yes they did deviate a lot from the source material (something that has been happening more and more often as DC seems intent on sticking with the "New 52" animated continuity and shoehorning stories in that weren't part of that in the comics) I haven't watched it myself yet because I'm waiting for the Blu-ray but two of my friends did and both were very disappointed.
