I have to agree it's a tad overrated. My main issue.

Tony Montana was not a very good gangster for a start. He was a pawn of Alejandro Sosa and the ending confirms this.

Sosa could pretty easily kill Tony any time.

He was a man motivated by greed and it was this that was manipulated by Sosa. He was allowed to operate freely as a puppet front man for Sosa in America and get rich.

But once he betrayed him it only took like 24 hours and he was dead.

He wasn't some bad a$$ demigod gangster that all these rappers would like to make you think.

The guy got caught trying to wash money. Real gangster like.

Apart from that yeah i still consider it a great movie.

Oh man when this is released, IMO all the mobster films will be at last totally blu. Universeral has to get their butts in gear and release this(along with the Back to the Future Trilogy).

The O.A.R for Scarface is "Academy" (1.37 : 1 ) I especially like the part where he ends up face down in the Horse Manure in the Gutter......
