I hope they don’t butcher the sound with the dynamics or needed upward volume adjustments for the movies you mentioned.

Won’t happen imo. Wouldn’t they have released them already at this point? Hope I’m wrong though; BATB live action is my favorite this far.

Why? What's so special about THIS POINT that makes you think that? It's not like they have been rereleasing 4Ks for years. Beauty and the Beast is probably their second most sold title on home media after The Lion King, it was even a top seller when it was rereleased in the Signature Collection. It also helps that its remake has been their most successful remake so far. It's not a matter of IF, it's a matter of WHEN in my opinion.

I’ve been waiting for that, also. With the Live-Action’s success and this Signature, hopefully that helps push the Legacy release out sooner.
There are supposed to be some announcements at the Disney Music Emporium’s pop-up shop at the D23 Expo next month, maybe it will be one of them!

Because of what you said. The movie is super succesful. They would have released it on 4k a while ago if they were planning to do it. But hey, it's just a feeling, could very well be I'm wrong. Which I hope I am.

No necessarily when the Renaissance films have been released in less than a year and Disney probably don't want to release two at the same time. After they announced Aladdin there is no reason to think that they won't release Beauty and the Beast.

Give me a CAPS-sourced Rescuers Down Under in 4K and I'll be a very happy fellow...at least for a few minutes until I start pining for Fantasia in 4K/Atmos again.

I wish I had my original CD of the Aladdin soundtrack...the original one before the home video re-dub of Arabian Nights. I was so poor my first year in Los Angeles, I wound up selling all my CDs for groceries.

Give me the first without whiskers that vanish in the same shot due to DNR

I don't have it as well but that's because I was one year old when the film came out. I think you can find it sold by third party sellers on Amazon, but it is usually overpriced and not worth it.

It is seven weeks until release day for these, so that does allow some time to save up if one feels an urgent need to buy them all at the same time. One of the main reasons that I visit this website is to read about upcoming releases in order to plan my purchase strategy. I plan most of my purchases at least a month ahead while setting aside some money for surprise sales events. From experience I have come to expect a lot of releases heading into the last 4 months of the year building up to the holidays, so I am not surprised when this happens.
Nice backpedalling, but there's no skirting around the fact - this is a flush (maybe the most ever in Disney's release history) late-summer/fall for releases/exclusives. Telling people to save in advance a little over a month in advance is kindof patronizing, my dude. Let's not pretend money grows on trees and that Disney isn't making this incredible push in physical media because of the streaming service. It's very transparent.

I was not trying to be offensive and your reaction surprises me; no one else has taken what I said as badly as you have.

I am not "telling" anyone what to do, either. I simply explained how I plan and shop for movies and what my experience in doing so has taught me.

Anyone who collects disc exclusives must have some discretionary funds at their disposal in order to afford this hobby. Those with less means have all the more reason to plan ahead and by doing so they will make these big release announcements easier to manage.

As a retiree living on a very modest fixed income, I am still able to buy 20-25 titles per month on average. It is as much about the planning that I do as it is about the money that I have.

Not necessarily. I think you're wrong. BATB is too popular NOT to do it.

Diamond edition Blu-Ray owner here. Now the issue is what version to get. I have all 4K versions of TLM & 4K Target edition of TLK. $34.99 is a bit steep. Wonder if steelbook will sell out at Best Buy within the day like TLM did or linger like the TLK did with plenty of availability.

I'm not aware of this issue - where in Rescuers does this occur?

Yes - absolutely. Still have that laserdisc. It's chroma noise is awful, but the aspect ratio is definitely 1.66:1 and matches the Platinum DVD and should mirror this 4K release if the press release is correct.

Can't wait for this one! Like I did with The Little Mermaid, I'm going to buy every edition that Disney comes out with. Regular 4K, Steelbook, Target Digibook

And I'm hoping that this Signature Edition of Aladdin won't have the edge enhancement, like the Diamond Edition had.
