And I am now realizing the title is actually "Samurai Shodown." Not "Showdown."

In my defense, I hadn't really thought about SamSho in like a decade, and the trailer just has the Japanese title. I just went with how showdown is usually spelled.

It was hard enough for me to take that Kusaregedo wasn't part of the main roster. But not even DLC? What the hell?

It says Season 1 Pass. So likely be more Season Passes to come.

Still getting used to the new characters. The one woman with the blue dress is a clumsy controlling character, with very slow, single slice moves that hardly flow. Thankfully, the classic characters play largely as in the older games, so that redeems the game.

The visuals are good, though I really do prefer the hand created sprites of the classic SNK Samurai Shodown games. This does look cool closer up though. Good game, but it feels more like a visual shift more than any evolution of the series.
