You can push Panasonic or Pioneer at them and they will still say not interested. Usual reasons is the flexibility of playing video/audio file content (media streamer). HDMI input for interfacing to other gear. Still get the player serviced even if you are not original owner. Stuff like this drives our friendly member dealer crazy!
