Smile New Blu-Ray is a Panasonic DMP 35

I just got fed up with the slow load for Blu Ray with my Sony 300 and bought the P DMP 35.

I hardly notice the load time, it's so fast. It seems even faster than the ads suggested it would be.

As far as streaming Netflix, I haven't put an ethernet cord from my computer to the DMP 35, mainly because I have plenty to watch without it at the moment and I like the closed caption which is not supported by Netflix. In fact, many of their regular mailed movies don't have subtitles unless the movie is in a foreign language. It seems strange that ALL TVs must support closed caption, but movies can do as they please with it. Kind of like having a turn signal required but no requirement to use it.

I could see no difference in the picture with Blu Ray, but the remote seems more user friendly. Sony did have a cc button in case it was not one of the setting choices and I haven't found that yet on the P DMP 35. Price was under $279 at Costco.
