Ha. This is crazy to me. I never picked up BBNM before, because at $29.95 or whatever it was too high. I thought I'd pick it up at $20 if it went on sale. (It might have been $20 at one time, I didn't keep up with price fluctuations religiously.) Regardless, I still don't have a copy, but at $50.00 I just snort and say to myself "I'll just buy another title from another label."

Miribeau,
Does it ever cross your mind that your long winded posts of nonsense don't benefit these threads, or it's users, in any way?

I did actually spend $50 on something recently. I got 9 Dolph Lundgren blus, containing 15 Dolph Lundgren films, to mix in with the huge collection I already have, in preparation for Dolph Lundgren month, which happens as soon as I get the new drywall sealed and painted, get the Atlantic film units back up, fill them with the insane number of film bins cluttering my home, and earthquake proof that whole wall of units. Easy peasy, if it weren't warm and I wasn't still ill. Good news? I'm on the mend and the mold from inside the wall with the leak is no longer alive to make me ill. Lundgren month. That's worth $50. BBNM, as a single disc release, not so much.

No, no glow cover should cost an additional $20/unit. What was Dead Pit... $30?

You really need it explained to you how charging double what you should be charging because of a hypothetical is ripping people off?

Dead Pit was $35 plus shipping, so $15 to $20 more than one would have expected.

GoH was a full $20 more not, including the shipping, just a full $20 price increase, for a glow-cover.

This was why they decided not to do a glow-cover for #7 and MMI. That thing adds too much to the price.

Are you on drugs? It doesn't cost $20 per cover to print them glow-in-the-dark.

I never said it cost $20 to make the glow-covers. I said they are adding $20 to the cost when they add a glow-cover now. Adding $15 and now $20 to titles, when adding glow-covers, is simply what they are doing. That doesn't make it justifiable or in any way suggest that this amount of money is what they paid to have the glow-covers manufactured.

If Dark Force was INDEPENDANT of Code Red, then his price for BBNM in this current market would be justifiable but the owner of Code Red is calling the shots. A fair price for GOH/PFT standard edition should be around $20, same for Drive-In #7 and they should be paired together for no more than $40.00

No. Really. They have people who will do custom magnets on Etsy. If you want particular artwork, let's say the season one promo image from Vampire Diaries, in an 8x3 glossy jumbo, and a season three cast promo from Battlestar Galactica in 8x3 glossy jumbo, you can order that. Just provide the best image quality you can and go buy some magnets.

Please don't do anything to encourage DF to charge more. If they'll add $20 to the price after adding a glow-cover, what will they add for a magnet, or worse, a glow-in-the-dark magnet.

Miribeau drinks the kool aid and then regurgitates it as fact.

They added $12 for the glow-cover, not $20, otherwise standard GOH/PFT would be $20 (which is what it should be) and not $28

No. They added $20 and then, for the standard edition, added $8, to the normal cost of a Drive-In series release. They have not given an explanation as to why they added $8 to the normal Drive-In price, but it would probably include how much they spent on Damon's interlude, restoring both features and recouping the cost of the glow-covers they pulled from those releases to make them into standard releases, even though they aren't included with the releases from which they were pulled.

Love Dark Force, really do. But they are sucking pretty hard right now. Not sure what they are thinking over there.

Remember when Shout raised their prices so high that the everyday price at Hamilton was cheaper than their home-site mega-sale? I remember that. That just happened. Not even six months ago.

Ebay is now selling Dead Pit for $35-45 and that is fact. Look up closed listings. Once the word gets out something isn't scarce, prices come down almost 50%. The same will happen to BBNM now that everyone knows more are coming. Look at Screams of a Winter Night now. Even VS titles, like Mausoleum, Liquid Sky and Ice Cream Man, etc with the OOP slip have come down from the almost $100 they used to get. People figure it out.
