Sorry but I can't get on board with being offended on behalf of people I don't even know, no matter how tragic the circumstances. Someone I knew in passing, a genuinely nice guy, had his life turned upside down and his career spun out because he made a joke about a tsunami, a genuinely funny joke, and people who had never met any of the people in that horrible situation went "offended" crazy. If you can't laugh at the crap in life, you won't get very far beyond that crap, if it happens to land at your door. Good luck being offended all the time if that ever happens, and I hope it doesn't.

You're the supposed genius who's always harping on about being nice to people, and you can't see why people would find using a recent mass shooting to promote a completely unrelated movie distasteful? I'm not sure if you've got some sort of emotional disconnect, or if your adoration for DF is blinding you.

Put it this way... A baby got shot in the face. Should that be used to promote the glow-in-the-dark Ator, or the collector's edition of Chaos?

I haven't said it isn't distasteful. Then, most of the people here are not saying it's distasteful. You all are saying it's terrible and horrible and acting outraged, disgusted and furious.

To use your example, a baby got shot in the face, somebody said something about it. Well, while you're losing your mind in outrage, screaming in the streets, the genius will be saying that whoever wants to say whatever they want to say about it can say whatever the H$!! they want to say. Freedom of speech wasn't guaranteed for the speech we want to hear. It was guaranteed so that no one can ever silence anyone in this country.

If one of the truly emotionally outraged, decent and moral, people used one of the links that was posted to, among other things, report it to Facebook, it may have been removed for him.

I'm in the Twilight Zone.... But at least I'm not falling in line, "outraged" over a comment posted on freaking Facebook that has no impact on my life.

Reread what I actually posted, I wasn't suggesting that the authorities be contacted to punish him for his free speech. Dave is free to say whatever he wants, my point was about potential intent.
