I can't tell from your post if you know about this, so I apologize if this is redundant, but "Newton Boys" has been released on Blu. It has been out of print for a while, but a year or two back, it suddenly got re-listed, so I was able to grab a copy relatively cheap (compared to what the OOP disc tends to sell for). You might get lucky.

Was "Tape" even shot in HD? You can get used copies, but it's an annoying title to search for.

Good to know about The Newton Boys - Thanks. I had no idea this had ever hit Region 1 Blu, but I can't find this on sale anywhere now - and don't want to pay too much for this. The DVD is OOP also, and still goes for big bucks these days.

As it turns out, I've seen both TNB & Tape in the 200X's, on the regular DVD's. However, I never owned these & don't remember much about the prints.

I would have to say Tape is the superior film; very dark, and though most of the action took place in a small hotel room with only three actors (similar to a play-like setting) it was very compelling.

Oh, yeah, I had been looking for it for more than a year, and it was regularly available but not at a price I'd pay (it's not *that* good a movie). I just had it in a wishlist -- either on Amazon or Deep Discount, can't remember -- and one day, it was suddenly available.

I think "Tape" feels like a filmed play and the gimmick is a bit forced, so it loses a few points, but it's certainly a better screenplay and the acting is first rate. "Newton Boys" is a fun movie, but it could use some more personality.

It’s in HD on Google Play and Prime Video, does it look good on there?
