Dear to my heart for me is what I've seen during my childhood. Movies that made an impact on me.

Blazing Saddles
King Kong (1976)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Road Warrior
Conan the Barbarian
The Thing
Terminator 1 + 2
Ghostbusters 1 & 2
RoboCop
Total Recall
Star Wars (trilogy)
Indiana Jones (trilogy)
Predator 1 + 2
Aliens (I was 10 and I got nightmares watching that movie)
El Mariachi
Jurassic Park

These are movies that I've no problem watching every month if someone forces me to.

Other movies that I've seen as an adult that made an impact.
I'm a sucker for sci-fi so I've I'm sucked into a believable space environment or post-apocalyptic earth I forget what's around me and leave reality for a bit.

Independence Day (saw it on my 20th birthday )
Starship Troopers.
Oblivion
Prometheus
Rogue One
Sunshine
Wall-E

Hulk. It's a drama movie filled with superhero ingredients. Love it.
The Hunter with Willem Dafoe. Great drama
The Boondock Saints. Low budget with style

And anything dog related which fills me up, but two that stick out:
Eight Below and Hachi
