I just saw this with my kids last night through a free rental on VUDU. Really, fun. I thought the boardroom scene was a bit over the top for a kid's movie.

. Considering the movie's marketing and appeal towards a younger crowd, I thought that they should have had those specific visuals off screen and implied. That whole scene would have felt natural in just about any of the other DCU movies, but here it felt out of place.

Going in, I knew nothing about this character except what I saw while playing the story line portion of the Injustice: Gods Among Us video game, reading the tie-in comic for said game, and watching the trailers.

TOTAL WINNER FOR ME!

I know I'm late to the party, but tonight I watched "Shazam!" for the very first time in my life. This is the TRUE DC Comics spirit which I love! Terrific superhero comedy, great special effects, good plot, funny jokes and great and spectacular superhero action.
This is (Captain) Marvel without being Marvel, and the humor is vastly better than Ant-Man or some other MCU comedy (Read: Thor: Ragnarok).

Why this movie flopped so badly is a mystery to me.

10/10.

It didn't flop. It made 3.5x it's budget, not counting home video sales.

The only DC film I like since The Dark Knight. It deserves to make a lot of money.
