yes no BD, it's already been available for almost 2 years
3 Disc SB, 2 Disc with Bonus Disc and Single Disc

yes, I imagine it will just add to it
original 4.0 is just 4 discreet channels LCRS so the Atmos will just add in extra discrete channels,
LFE, overhead effects etc and should sound insane as 4.0 mix already does

It's not a question of being available or not, but charging that much for a UHD which isn't even a Dual Format.

So, if I get this and the German gift-set with both films, do I get all content available?

I’m thinking about buying the German gift-set then replacing the UHD disc of the 77’ film with this.

Looking forward to this! Pre-ordered at Synapse. Not the lowest price, I know, but they probably are paying quite a bit of money to make this happen. I'd rather see a few more bucks land in their pockets than try to be a penny-pincher.

She's actually pretty cool with that usually, but some films we've bought too many times (The Thing/Re-Animator), and that Suspiria steelbook was pricey.

I dread her look when The Thing and Re-Animator get a UHD release (It's bound to happen).

majority of people already have the BD
if you're buying the UHD you're going to presumably watch the UHD at some point
otherwise just buy the 1 or 2 disc BD
if I had both I would only watch the UHD

price is in line with there BD prices like collector's SB's, so was never going to be cheap
you mentioned the original Audio yourself, well the only time it's been available was with the Synapse BD,
so they have done what enthusiasts wanted along with other restoration/grading which would all add to cost due to time/effort etc

now there giving us UHD, BD-100, HDR, Atmos etc again what enthusiasts wanted
and something that costs them money/time/effort etc

if you mean all extras available
then no
if you don't have any DVD's you will need multiple versions for all the exclusive extras

UK 4k futurepak/metalpak had exclusive bonus disc
Australian 40th also has some exclusives that where on DVD's
