The Funhouse
The Burning
The Burning absolutely, it’s a very good camp slasher. The Funhouse I personally wouldn’t as I honestly found it boring.

After more than three decades of never going to the hospital for anything, I've been making up for lost time during the past two years.

Hopefully, this is the last of the medical stuff for a while. Collecting Blu-rays and maxing the out-of-pocket for insurance is not a great combination.

On the bright side, I've lost 55 pounds since early May, and am in good shape. I don't recommend colon resection surgery as a general weight loss strategy, though.
Wish you nothing but the best going forward Owl. Hopefully the worst is behind you.

The Funhouse
The Burning
The Funhouse is terrific. A great little '80s monster movie.

I'm not too terribly fond of The Burning. It's okay and has grown on me a little bit since the first time I saw it, but I don't think it's top tier '80s slasher material like others seem to. It's pretty slow-going at times.

The Funhouse
The Burning
The Funhouse is pretty disappointing imo. Lower your expectations if you get it.

Yeah I really enjoy both but I've really grown to love The Funhouse. Awesome horror flick. It has a wonderful creepy late night atmosphere and is a perfect late night, after dark horror flick.

I think it tends to get confused as a slasher when it's more of a monster/creature feature.

If the posts continue and improve in the slightest I'm going to assume that this is some sort of Learning Machine AI experiment. Like when someone had an AI write it's own horror story...

https://mashable.com/2017/10/31/mit-...riting-ai-bot/

or better yet...

Tay (This story had me laughing my ass off years ago when I first read the story.)

The Funhouse
The Burning
I believe that The Funhouse is the better movie of the two, and it's certainly the most atmospheric.

The Burning is still one heck of a fun horror flick, though.

Have had The Funhouse forever, but still haven’t ever seen it. Perhaps I’ll bust that one out tonight.

Loved The Burning though. A teenaged George Costanza (Jason Alexander) was the icing on the cake. Kept thinking of George’s high school gym teacher wedgie flashbacks whenever he was on screen, “Can’t-Stand-Ya!”

Any of you remember that Opips3 guy? I think he got banned, but he wrote in this same style. However, he insisted that his cat “was the one typing.”

The Funhouse is my choice. But someone needs to post that meme of the little girl who says, “porque no los dos.”

An American Werewolf in Paris has several Blu-ray import options. I bought a nice German mediabook from Diabolik a few years ago. If it ever comes stateside, it would most likely show up with Kino. Kino's tried to get it in the past, but several Touchstone/Hollywood Pictures titles seems to off limits at this time. Titles like AAWiP, Stakeout, Three Men and a Baby, etc.

Personally, I didn't like The Funhouse. Not sure what I expected when I blind bought it but I watched it once, didn't like it and haven't watched it again. A couple others mentioned it was slow/boring, I agree. Sometimes I don't mind that but throw on top some not very interesting characters and it makes it worse. Plus, I've never really liked the "monster" type movies like this or whatever you want to call them - such as Hills Have Eyes, Wrong Turn, Last House (original), Texas Chainsaw (original), etc. Personally, just don't enjoy them.

Still not 100% sure if I've seen the Burning, so I won't comment there. I feel like I may have, but also feel like I might be confusing it with the Final Terror. I've been meaning to re-watch it but given my dislike for the types of movies above, it hasn't been a priority for me.

I blind-bought The Funhouse because a fully-loaded Arrow edition at 6 quid was a no-brainer, but found the film a bit of a snooze - neither particularly intense nor funny nor much of anything.
