I heard them through separates, so my thought was to get a dedicated room when I move in the next year. Add a dedicated circuit. Get a pre/pro and amp (thinking Emotiva), THEN get the Focals. I had a really good offer on the 826's recently, but balked at pulling the trigger.
Very nice choice indeed

i hav the synergy f2 system i pics in my gallery. i brought these like in '06 xmas time at BBuys when Klipsch just changed over to these new ones. at the time they ran me $1800. i like them i can crank as loud and they just keep asking for more.

thinking back at the Klipsch store the Reference RF speakers was just coming out and they were almost $5300 for the whole system 5.1. they were the ones with the gold colored speakers. no way could have gotten those all at once. they sounded soooo good and they had like 3 other systems below them. it didn't matter they all sound good.

by the way the store is not called Klipsch. weird!!!!!!! they sell NOTHING else.

They stay cleaner when the grille is on but they look sexy when the grille is off! God I can't wait till I get to hook all mine up and post pictures of my whole setup!

RIP21 Be very glad that you didn't trade your RF series in for the Icon's - that would have been a definate downgrade! I went back and demo'd the Icon's again (they are a BB special project with Klipsch). No changes - still sounds very lean. They have good dynamics but perform poorly on music. It's a blessing that you still have your RF's

I read a post over in the Klipsch forum, although I can't reference it. The gist of it was (according to the Klipsch PURISTS)

K= K-horns
L= La Scalas
I= not Icon
P= Palladiums
S= not Synergy
C= Cornwalls
H= Heresys
also to be mentioned were the Belles, and Fortes.

These were considered the "bread and butter" of the Klipsch line of speakers, I found it a good reference when doing some research.

Ya know we didn't really notice much difference when taking the grills off... but i'm sure there is a slight more pitch when they are off.

Been a klipsch fan for along time... and hanging on to our reference series speakers as long as possible.

Some individuals can tell when the grills are on and some can't, depending on their hearing ability.

I have a friend, who is blind, and he was an audiophile grade dealer. He gave me my start with audio about 23 years ago. I used to test him on this, and he could consistently tell when a set of speaker grills was on or off. It was uncanny, because I couldn't fool him.

As Slec said, you are correct to remove the jumpers. Also, what you are doing is bi-amping and not bi-wiring.

I recently bi-amped my RF-82's and I like the results. It seems the highs are more detailed and better defined. I'm very familiar with the ongoing debate over whether or not bi-amping makes any real difference. I couldn't say for sure if the difference is real or I just think I hear it, but either way, I like it so I'll be leaving them bi-amped.

I'm a Klipsch owner, new to this forum. I have RF-5, RC-64, RS-3, RB-51, RB-61, RC-3, RC-62 and had a pair of Heresy's awhile back. I love the horns and the detail of these speakers.

Oh my lord haha I am totally new to a nice sound system and yesterday I have my two front RF-82's hooked up currently bridges until I have bi-wire then when I receive more banana plugs, and my RC-62 as well as my RW-10D hooked up and WOW does it sound amazing. It isn't even calibrated yet to my seating position but I was playing KZ2 just to hear what the speakers sound like and I am in shock at how clear and loud they get without even getting to the top in volume. Most excellent I can only imagine how awesome my whole setup will sound once everything is hooked up and calibrated correctly for my seating position. I love my Klipsch speakers now all the wait was definitely worth it.

got the new 876 in to push my rf63s and rc64.
What I like is that the 876 has the ability to bridge the left and right speakers.
