The old MGM release has a little better grain structure than the German release, but both are better than the poorly encoded Shout Factory release.

The original Troll is only available in the US from Scream Factory. Troll 2 has had a few Halloween faceplate editions but it's all the same disc.

One last question, On the German release, I assume the menu and stuff is in German, But is all the movies and special features in English?

I'm from germany and i have the Blu-ray the special features are the same as in the SF release and they are all in english

Hello,
I just bought the scream factory release on amazon.de but the market seller send me the blu ray with a poor photocopy cover instead of the original. I'm so pissed of and disapointed. Can someone send me an hi res scan of the troll/troll 2 scream factory cover? I want to print it myself to make a better job.

Saw troll 1 over the holidays and wow what a big difference in my enjoyment from being a kid. My wife and I watch films all the time and she actually has been getting into horror. Now I wouldn't call this horror..... we both thought the film was lame. I remember liking it as a kid but I also liked critters which I can't enjoy today. I like cheesy films but for some reason trolls is not for me. The A/V was okay but I wasn't expecting perfection.

Send it back... amazon has good return polices but it may be different for .de

Yes but for .de I think I 'm gonna have to paid for the return shipping costs and I don't want to do that.

If it's a bootleg then you shouldn't right? I always us chat if I run into a return issue and it gets fixed fyi.

Thx for the info. I'm gonna try that. But a cover scan will have to do the job in case it doesn't work.

I ordered a copy from Best Buy the day the announcement was made that the version with "Best Worst Movie" was going out of print; it hasn't shipped yet.

EDIT: And it just got cancelled. Oh well.

I did the same thing but as a fallback, also ordered the last one they had in stock from Bullmoose; this was recently actually, less than two months for clarification. At that time though, I also noticed that grindhousevideo.com had several in stock, at least enough to not give a number stating low stock yet. BUT since the re-release is happening, the page has been changed as if it's only a pre-order but there were some in stock the day before that happened. So, it's a longshot but they may still have a few copies.. just e-mail Mike and he'll tell you for sure; he's usually quick at responding. It was priced as $19.99 at that time; plus a $5 shipping charge on all US orders. Good luck!

Just checked grindhousevideo.com; they only have the second printing up for pre-order. Maybe I'll check my local Barnes & Noble this weekend and Amoeba Records just to be safe. Thanks for the heads up.

Looks like a new Troll movie is coming out later this year in the vein of Troll 2 (with some cast members). JoBlo posted the trailer and it looks amazing :P

Check pawn shops if you have any in the area. I can't count how many times I've come across a copy between Chicago, Austin, and Sacramento.

Koch tend to region lock their releases. The Eureka release, while technically region locked, is "top menu trick" friendly on any Blu Ray player.
