Default Better trilogy: Sam Raimi's Spider-Man or Nolan's Batman?

Which trilogy is overall better? And why?

Both have a solid first entry and a terrific second film, I'd go with Nolan because I thought Dark Knight Rises was better than Spider-Man 3, which has one scene that was flat-out embarassing, and no, it's not the "dark Peter dance" or the musical number, it's the "poor butler who can't act trying to recite lines to James Franco" scene.

So I vote for Nolan's Batman.

I really enjoy 2 of the 3 Spider-Man movies, but I don't think it's even close. Nolan fired on all cylinders and churned out a classic for the ages, AFAIC.

I only like Batman. Of almost all superheroes.

Nolan's Batman trilogy by a large margin. I've always been a fan of Raimi's directorial style, but Tobey Maguire annoys me and the scripts of the three Spider-Man films are hit or miss. I love all three of the Batman films. Christian Bale is a terrific actor.

Nolan took the risk and "reimagined" the Batman franchise. Spiderman was more by-the-numbers.

I like how both trilogies had a decent first film, fantastic second film, and then underwhelming third film.

Whereas I like all of them, with the exception of 3. I really loved 2, and I think the Holland films are tons of fun.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was the most thrilling animated experience of my (semi) adult lifetime after The Rescuers Down Under showed off the CAPS system in 1990.

Yeah. I also regret getting that 2018 Spider-Man game. Quit it after like three hours, after 100 percent completing all the Rocksteady Batman Arkham games.

Spider-Man.

The Nolan Batmans are excellent... insomnia cures.

Yeah, as I've said before, I'm not into animation. But I've heard SO many great things about it that I'm fairly certain that I need to make an exception here.

Believe the hype, in this instance. Having said that, I'm an animation propellor-head, so, no 100% guarantees. I just think it's wildly inventive and has a playfulness and poignancy in the story that might remind you of the zenith days of Gale and Zemeckis.

They both blunder the third ones. I’m more of a Spider-Man guy, but I do love the Batman films as well.

Nolan's Batmans are higher quality films. Before Nolan released his version of Batman, I was never a fan of Batman. He made me a fan of a character that I did like much. That's saying a lot. Thing is that I have always been a huge fan of Spiderman. So I am a bit bias. I really felt like Raimi did an excellent job and really brought Spiderman to life. All in all its a tough call...But deep down inside I still like Spiderman a little more.

Yeah, I'm pretty much believing it. Maybe I'll watch it tonight. The Holland movies have sort of turned me into somewhat of a Spidey fan these days. And as I said, so many people have raved about it.

Back in my comics-reading days I never really read Spider-Man, or Marvel in general. Well except a ton of X-Men. But I had such a good time with the first movie, and absolutely loved the second, and then the Holland movies -- my opinion has definitely changed. So I'm definitely looking forward to this.

TDKR may be seen as the weakest entry in the trilogy, but i don't think it's any worse really than Begins and TDK is in an entire league of its own even for as lauded as Spiderman 2 is.

Nolan trilogy just has the overall cut above but honestly, if Spiderman 3 wasn't as much of a let down as it was, i wouldn't be surprised if the votes were closer.
