In my opinion there are still too many problems with MA. It did add additional retailers, but we lost UV studios.

In addition, here's one such issue I've experienced. Dr Suess' The Lorax (1972) was originally redeemed through WB, in 2012, with HD rights. My UV transaction file I received from UV before they shut down shows this. At the time the title transferred to Vudu and showed as SD since that was the highest resolution they had at the time. However, my MA transaction history shows a Vudu redemption for the same 2012 date (probably because WB's service was never an MA option). Well, Vudu "upgraded" this movie to HDX since they now have a HD version available. This caused the title to be removed from my MA account.

Per a chat with MA, they show the title being removed from my account on 8/20/2019, but no new HD transaction has been added to my MA account. They speculate this is because Vudu had to removed the SD version from Vudu to be able to add the HD version to my account. However, MA stated that "upgraded" titles don't transfer from Vudu to MA. Thus I've now lost a title(s) from my account.

Anyone else experience such issues?

Disconnect VUDU from MA. Wait 15 minutes, reconnect, and your rights will return.

Fair warning though, something VUDU did a couple months ago will result in your movies from VUDU being re-added to MA again alphabetically instead of chronologically.

I'm concerned that there might be titles that could dissappear, not sure if that would happen now that UV has ceased, but concerned none the less.

I frequently disconnect and reconnect my providers, and while I've had some "mistakes" disappear, I'm not aware of ever losing anything I shouldn't, and some of those mistakes have even stayed.

Some people experience this bug, and some people don't, but whenever VUDU upgrades a title's resolution from UV, they remove the HD license and adds a UHD license (or removes the SD license in your case, and adds the HD license), but for some reason, MA only gets the removal in your transactions, and not the addition of a higher resolution, requiring you to disconnect, wait 15 minutes or so and reconnect.

It's your call what you want to do though. I won't tell you you won't lose anything... I'll just say you're not supposed to.

I unlinked my accounts and eventually relinked them. It appears I lost no movies, but the affected title didn't show up in MA either. It also appears that the Vudu titles weren't readded to my MA transaction history.

EDIT: I think I found the problem, Vudu shows that I own the HDX version, but at the bottom of the title page it shows Vudu only has the SD version. Just a guess, but this is most likely why it doesn't seem to be transferring. Either way, I opened a support ticket with Vudu.

VUDU recently made a change so that people with higher resolutions in UV than in VUDU would get the higher resolutions in their purchase history so that it would port to MA as such. Unfortunately, not every title is like that as I had ONE movie in UV that I still have in SD in VUDU, and therefore, MA.

If it didn't port over, try again. It SHOULD port.

I can’t get Spider Man: FFH to redeem in MA. Anyone else run into this? Who should I contact about it: MA, Sony or Best Buy?

Edit: Strangely, code wouldn’t redeem in MA but redeemed successfully in vudu. Curious to see if anyone else has this issue.

MA has been having issues with code redemptions for the past few days. If you keep clicking "Redeem," it will eventually say that the code was already redeemed, but it will add the title to your MA account.

The Shining 4k code does not redeem in MA. How would I be able to redeem it and have it in iTunes?

How long should you leave an account unlinked? I just looked at my Movies Anywhere library and it shows I only have 305 movies. I should have WELL over that in my Movies Anywhere account. I tried to unlink and relink Vudu but it didn't change anything. I also just renewed my link with iTunes, Google, and Amazon

I redeemed through Vudu, and the purchase registered as 4K and in Movies Anywhere, so it also showed up in my iTunes account in 4K.

I have the same question.... it only lets you redeem thru Vudo. Pretty strange.

Im pretty sure I know what the answer will be but I thought I would ask,

Those of you who family share your content on Microsoft, do movies share to other accounts? And has anyone tried linking a MA account to a family share linked account to see if the movies transfer?

Im sure answer will probably be no but I thought I would ask.

Not sure where to post this, but is anyone else having problems with "DisneyMovieInsiders" formerly DisneyMovieRewards??

Neither Guardians of the Galaxy nor Maleficent are redeeming the points. Maybe early bugs needing to get worked out??
