lol this actually happened to me at best buy, which is why i don't shop there anymore, or very very rarely i should say lol. I bought a dvd there, this was back when they were still new and about 30 dollars a piece, i was 16 at the time and has used my minimum wage job to pay for a dvd player, and a few dvd's from time to time. I got home the dvd cases teeth were broke and the disc was obviously screwed during shipping, of course it didn't play, so i took it back for another copy, which they did not have! Fine then i wanted a refund so i could go purchase it somewhere else, this was btw a movie i was WAITING on so i know most of you can relate to the i wanted to watch THIS lol. Best Buy told me since it was open i couldn't have a refund, ok i can deal with that, i wanted to exchange it for another movie, NO LUCK
![]() So basically on a very limited budget i gave best buy $30 two weeks in advance for a dvd, and they lost themselves a potential customer, one who just so happens to be an addict for all the stuff they sell there mua ha ha, who now shops their competition WHENEVER possible. Its really messed up that so many stores can get away with shady business practices like this and hide behind policies that some cases should obviously be taken on a case by case basis, as i have learned from being a manager myself in retail, and realizing now that a customer with this kind of issue who stays polite and doesn't flip their wig, is a pleasure to take care of and send away happy. |

She didn't need to call 911 but McDonalds was in the wrong here in my opinion. She payed and then they told her they were out of nuggets so she wanted the money back and they told her there are no refunds per policy and wouldn't give her money back.

Exactly my feelings. At first when I read the title of the thread I thought she was calling cause they refused to give her nuggets but nope it's cause they won't give her money back. While calling 911 is of course excessive, if a store does not deliver something you ordered because the store has whatever problem with it, it's up to the store to find a solution for the customer including refunding the money.
Come to think of it, this situation has already happened to me at a Mac Donald's over here but with a milkshake. Only difference is they told me they were out of shakes BEFORE making me pay so a non issue here. Last edited by quexos; 03-06-2009 at 08:43 AM. |
