Disney to release all Blu-rays with DVD disc - Blu-ray Forum

I think it is a wonderful idea.... When the grandkids come to visit, if they want to watch it, we have a play room for them with a dvd player. The DVD is for them to enjoy anytime they want.... The Blu is for the Theatre room so they can watch it with Grandpa.

Not all their releases will come with a DVD, but most of the big ones will. I think they're warming up the market to eventually only providing one release with both Blu-ray and DVD (no separate DVD release). Disney can pull that off.

I cannot see buying the BD for oneself and then having to buy the DVD separately for the kids for these animated films we know they are interested in. This combo is much more affordable!
