Rumor: Team ICO at GDC w/ Gamplay at E3!!! - Blu-ray Forum

It's no secret that ICO and Shadow of the Colossus creator Fumito Ueda will be speaking at GDC this month, but now I have good news about Team ICO's next project. Not only will it be revealed at GDC (if everything goes according to plan), but we'll also get a trailer and gameplay at E3 2009.

Insiders state that Team ICO's big secret project has remained secret mostly because it has been without an official title for about 5 months, and the Team, along with Sony, wanted to build tension. With a horde of great games on slate through March of 2010, Sony has been working hard at keeping Team ICO's project low key, as to keep from drowning the hype train prematurely.

While the game is not expected to release until Fall of 2010, it looks like we'll finally get to place our eyes on the prize that Team ICO has been hiding for so long.

But that's not all! Team ICO will not be alone at E3. God of War will be there and playable to fans, revealing much about Sony's proud new gameplay mechanics. Heavy Rain will be showing us gameplay from the actual story arc.

It looks like Sony isn't just showing up to E3 this year, but that it'll be Sony who brings it. (Why does it have to be so far away?)

I can't wait to see what this new game is. Ico and SotC were amazing graphically on PS2. To think what this will look like on PS3...

I stopped reading into this stuff after like the 8th time of it not showing up at an event, were it was rumored to turn up. I've learnt my lesson. It's never coming.

Its confirmed for GDC, the E3 stuff is rumor...

Ya, what Shin said. Ueda spoke at the Nordic Game conference not that long ago, but he didn't mention anything related to his project, and he won't ever speak of his project at least until it's READY to be shown. I still don't think it's ready to be shown. The man is just that cool.

well it should be easy for sony to bring it to E3 seeing as most of the big names have pretty much backed out of that show these days and its turned to more of a business show than a gamers show ....

PTOM this month has a thing on 150 games coming to ps3 and here is a blurb listed at #5 TEAM ICO
" It may use the same theme of "hold, and perform an action" from ico and shadow of colossus" suggests producer fumito ueda of ico 3 it also mentions about a shadow in the top right corner of the teaser pic the yreleased awhile back with the chain in the hole in hte ground or whatever . i dont recall a shadow myself though

I'll be buying it whatever the game is like or about. If I hear absolutely nothing about the game, no pics, previews, reviews, anything, I would still buy it day 1. That is the faith I have in them

I read that article. Many of those games are bad ones that no one cares about anyway, though. Plus, many of them are also going to be available on the other console.

So, really, it's like 25 noteworthy games, which is still pretty damned good.
