So did Shout! and MGM outright cut ties with each other rather than letting select titles go OOP?

This could be a massive wholesale slaughter of their back catalog, if you think about it.

From what the person who works at Shout said, MGM and Shout still have a strong relationship. I think these titles have just outlived their sellability.

At first, I was bummed to miss out on Stigmata, but then I saw Eureka put it out in the UK, which softens that blow significantly.

...I honestly prefer Eureka's bitrate and compression work over Shout!'s. They're a great company.

It's still available directly from SF brutha...

...Not to mention the special features, especially the making of docs, on both are worth purchase alone for fans.

I asked Arrow via FB about this. Their reply:

"We have no more copies of the dual format and we're unsure at this stage if it's coming back."

Frogs deserves a standalone collector's edition but Shout had no business licensing Stigmata

Late to the party here. Took a look at the list, and luckily I already own everything off of it that I'd want. Good luck to those trying to hunt stuff down.

Stigmata is based on a crusty old MGM HD master, as to why I held off buying it. If someone else gets it and does a new 2/4k remaster, then sign me up!

Also picked up:

- Swamp Thing
- Dead of Winter
- Disturbing Behavior

The Carrie double feature hasn't shipped yet though, so I'm kinda getting freaked out about that one.

- The Vincent Price Collection - Vol. II

Also grabbed Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.

Thank you for the info

I was able to find a third party seller on Amazon with a new copy for 15 bucks thankfully, but I really did want that Arrow edition. It was a beautiful cover. I'm just glad to score a copy... This has been a hectic week for Scream Factory fans!

Missed it but still placed an order in case they get more copies. Also bought a backup copy from Sunrise for $34.99 just in case.

The Sleepaway Camp Films facebook page (which I believe is run by the director of 2 & 3?) posted something vague about working on "a blu-ray" a couple weeks back.

I kind of assumed it was just the assembled footage from the unfinished Sleepaway Camp IV or something, but this OOP news makes me wonder.

Maybe Scream should announce random titles as going OOP even if it's not true, because once this list went up some of these sold out within a few hours. Kidding of course, but shocked how quickly some of these disappeared as they aren't huge titles by any means, most of them.

The decision was likely made to not repress these some time ago but only now came to light. The quick sellouts were likely the result of unsold product that had been sitting around for years. It's annoying that some of these sold out as quickly as they did once the announcement was made, but not surprising.
