I thought this started out alright... not on the same level as the original, but at least the Soskas had their own elements (i.e. the fashion world commentary, and particularly how body image issues could connect to body horror). But it got really goofy in the third act when (mild spoiler)
[Show spoiler] Ultimately, I'd say it's watchable if you're just in the mood for a modest horror film with decent production values to kill 90 minutes. But if I were Cronenberg, I'd probably be a little insulted. |
