It’s the teaser poster they use on the mini poster I believe.

I got a shipping notice from Diabolik for a previous order but not for AWIL. Hmmm.

I'd say for big fans of the film, for those that want the new extras, and for those that don't already own it, the Arrow release is the way to go. But I still think the Universal disc is good enough for mostly everyone else.
Agree 100%

Is the book a valuable read? What is the reprinted material like? Trying to decide between whether to go for the limited and standard editions as they're out on the same day.

This doesn't release until 10/29 and Amazon almost never ships early. You won't likely get a shipping notice for another 11 days. I have no idea why the Blob would be shipping so early.

It was a notification of a delivery date...which for some reason is Oct 31st. While awil is still order pending.

Thanks for the pic share! How'd you get it so early? Are you a reviewer?

Yes, actually I buy the limited editions for the big booklets, I don't care much about the cards and the poster.

Also well some Limited has an extra cut of the film or an extra disc. Like Deep Red.

I'm seriously hoping the standard edition goes down in price sometime before release date.

I do reviews on my site, and I am working on a review for this, but I found it at a used record store by my dentist's office. They get stuff early and I got lucky.

$26 shipped from Deep Discount was more than a great price for a package like this. I had planned to wait on the standard edition as well when I couldn’t get this one for less than $34, but for $26, it’s a no-brainer for a classic like this.

Regards,
I don’t know. I absolutely notice the smudgy DNR artifacts on the Universal transfer, even in motion and at a normal viewing distance. There’s not a chance in the slaughtered lamb that I won’t notice all that luscious grain when I upgrade to the Arrow version. In all honesty, I’m a bit flabbergasted to see this kind of “meh” attitude toward a transfer that so clearly betters what came before - at least on this forum. I mean if this isn’t a substantial enough upgrade, I can’t imagine being at all impressed with the vast majority of 4K upgrades, either.

I totally agree that the new transfer is definitely worth it. The DNR algorithm was a pretty competent one that Universal used for the 2016 release but when I'm watching that one I'm missing the texture of what would be on the OCN. It's great Arrow went the extra mile for this when they could've used the existing transfer.

So is the standard edition of this actually up for pre-order somewhere? I cancelled my 3 month old pre-order of the Limited Edition on Amazon in order to take advantage of the great price on Deepdiscount and 15% off code today, and am now a bit worried that what I ordered was the standard edition. I can only see one listing on Deepdiscount and as far as I can tell it's the LE, but given the significantly better price I'm a bit worried by what I may get.
