While I’d love to see it in any format, I’d be disappointed if it doesn’t get a physical release. I’m also bummed the director audio commentary for Chapter 1 was a digital-only release. Anyone have the chance to listen to it?

Well then maybe WB needs to tell their movie directors to not speak of extended cuts until they are ready to release them. They pulled the same crap with Godzilla 2014. And as far as I am concrned, a director is going to know his own movie better than the studio.

I’d say seeing how they’re not including any deleted scenes at all on this release give it 6 months after home release they’ll announce a “deluxe” edition so people will have to double dip

Almost guaranteed. However, in some cases, Warner Bros. has announced the future extended editions/detailed bonus features well before the theatrical releases (The Hobbit/LOTR trilogies). It'll be interesting to see if Andy's SuperCut vision actually becomes a reality; they would have to start filming the exclusive two new scenes if so.

Great cover. Both this one and the 4K UHD Blu-ray covers are great. For once, I didn't care much for the steelbook. How about you?

I loved Chapter 1's steelbook and find Chapter 2's to be "fine." Since there are two disc slots in the Ch. 1 steelbook, and I ditched the DVD copy, I'll probably just stick Ch. 2 in with it.

I’m happy with theatrical and if an extended cut comes out digital only I’m fine with that too. I’m moving toward more digital anyway. Just sold off 200 Blu-ray’s that I had digital.
Of course I’m keeping my favorites whether it’s Shane, Mannequin or It both chapters. I’ll be getting the It steelbook for Chapter 2 since I got the first one but I’m cooling on steelbooks too. I’m only getting Marvel and DC steels in the future but exception will be made! I’ll buy Blu-ray’s and 4K during BF for the codes |

Maybe the director is doing this to try and make more money. I know directors get paid if they do an extended cut of their films unless it’s in their contract. Maybe he should tell WB he will take the time to do an extended cut or whatever he is wanting to do but won’t charge them for his time.

Been like this for awhile. 3 months is standard. Once upon a time is 4.5 months.

4K is the only thing that is bringing good money. Here's an example if a bluray is selling for $5 you'll probably get only $1 for it. Why? well taking into account the store's overhead, the store has a sale twice a year where anything priced at $6.99 or less is 1/2 off. so for a $1 purchase the may make $1.50 or more. The older the title the longer it sits in the bins. He has 3 Green Books in stock for $5.99 not moving. Disney and Marvel move very fast I got a little more because I took everything in trade which means I get about 25% more. Look at Amazon and see how much third party sellers are selling a title that's been out for more than a year. Streaming is also hurting so there you go...DIGITAL |

Chapter 1 took about 4 months I believe (although I think part of that was its tremendous box office success). I love the short timeframe between theaters and home video; I remember waiting 5-6 months between the Potter films.
