Hey dawnofthediscs that's actually a very good question. Since the sudden and very unfortunate death of Robert Forster Dark Force felt obligated to do some thing very special with this release and make it a tribute to him. We are doing an incredible custom slip with Robert's bust on the original poster 3D embossed and it will glow in the dark. Next we decided to enlist our top colorist who recently blew everyone away with MIRROR MIRROR to also do extensive scene by scene color correction on THE BANKER. So to answer your question it will look significantly better than what is streaming on Prime. Ask any one that has seen our releases done by this guy and you will know how much better he can make them. Regards. Tom General Manager, Dark Force

Is Rainbow Harvest that short, pale actress, the daughter dressed like Michael Jackson, in this movie? Why was I thinking she was some voluptuous former porn queen? lol

Weird seeing Yvonne DeCarlo, from The Munsters, here. I know she appeared in lots of 80's B movies but I always get a kick out of seeing her in full color

After watching the Dark Force livestream, I think Dave deserves a massive amount of credit for trying to get Bill to budge on THE FARMER.

Keeping my fingers crossed that he can get this out. I promise you, Dave, that more than 36 people are interested in buying this.

Also, I'm not sure how Dave is able to translate all the "Billspeak" but he deserves a medal for all his efforts. Bill's angry bursts left me exhausted.

I wasn't sure if I could get one. It's really not Dark Force's fault if the USPS damaged it in shipping. Plus, I really wanted to see the film again and didn't want to have to wait while I sent the damaged one back to get the replacement. Ordering another copy seemed easier.

Or sat on it. The padded envelope wasn't damaged at all. It wasn't until I opened it that I discovered the damage.

I don’t think he’s actually trying to get it released , I think he just knows what people want to hear about and that’s precisely what he’s talking about.

He knows the mere mention of The Farmer will bring viewers to his live-streams and brings eyes to his brand.

I have sincere doubts it’s going to happen. I mildly applaud his business acumen though.

Wait, so Dark Force's latest release is fully available at a reasonable price, they're cooperating with other labels, and even promptly and courteously responding to customer service issues?

What happened to this thread?

Dave's gonna be Dave. I know he likes to troll, but I also think he sees the business opportunity in being the guy who helps get THE FARMER over the finish line.

I think he's taking etiquette classes or he's reading Miss Manners column religiously.

I don't understand all the hullabaloo about The Farmer.

So Code Red and Dark Force are 2 different entities, right? But they're allies? Bill the Bananaman runs Code Red, and he helped Dave the wrestler start his own company, Dark Force, and as such DF helps distribute CR titles?

The Farmer is a film that Bill has the rights for, and had the elements to make a Blu-ray transfer, but doesn't want to do it for some reason? Why? If you're a cult/rarity film specialty company, why get the rights to a film you don't actually plan on releasing?

I've only been around since August and I've made 4 orders between DF and CR since then, but the releases are solid and the customer service has been great. But earlier, there was apparently an epic troll war or something that caused some drama, but now we're back on track with releases and general politeness?

I like this thread, and I like both companies. I'm just trying to understand what the heck's going on!

The Farmer still ows money for unpaid taxes. Which is why its never been released on vhs/laserdisc, dvd blu ray.

Now Bill bought the rights for the movie back in the dvd days not knowing that it still owed money and got a fresh scan done of the film ready for release and then found out the money problems and shelved the whole thing.

But in the passing years has just sat on the film instead of selling it to someone else too release or be willing to work with another label to work out the money issue's. People have even suggested to Bill to just crowdfund the amount of money the film ows and if it hits it goal he pays off the money and finally puts the film out but he just says no.

A MVD contract (which, I'm guessing, means they might be getting a distribution deal with MVD). Dave said he will discuss it more in a future livestream.

If Dave was a REAL "Chaos Demon" He'd be able to get Clownhouse released on blu-ray.

Bill does not have a full film of the Farmer to scan reportedly, it's missing section/s.
This was reported on this thread a while back. I think via Damon Packard on Facebook.

LOL, Dark Force does his thing to promote his business...obviously he was involved in the wrestling business and his marketing skills can be considered "aggressive" at times .

I have communicated with David on a couple of occasions and he has been a gentleman. Funny cause some of the labels that regularly get the most praise are run by people who are nothing but...gentlemen . Appearances can be VERY deceiving.

I hope he didn't pay too much. Who dives head first into a pool without checking to see if there's water in it? Rule # 1 should be: check to see what elements are available even before researching the rights. What good are rights being available if all they have is a tape master or nothing at all?
