I liked it, I thought it was pretty good, ok if you have seen Terminator 2 and liked it you will like this, but if you have seen The Terminator then you know that Terminator 2 is basically a remake well Terminator Dark Fate is a remake of Terminator 2.

I think that the negativity people are feeling about the film is that they wanted more they wanted the same jump as there was from The Terminator to Terminator 2, but I don't think that is possible, and I am not sure what people are expecting, the film has the same tone and feel of Terminator 2 to me and it is the third film in the trilogy as far as I am concerned, it does push the story forward even if it is only a little.

As for 2K vs 4K DI, at least we can enjoy many catalogue titles in beautiful, native 4K.

It's ridiculous 2K is still Hollywood standard and at the same time TV industry is pushing 8(GIMMIC)K LOL
resolution increases are not gimmicks as long as there is content out there which cannot be replicated losslessly in digital.

Good action movie with terrific set pieces, should look fantastic on 4K UHD. I still prefer Salvation and Genisys though.

Seeing this on Friday in Dolby. Hope we finally get a worthy successor to T1&T2

Been trying to decide about going to a screening tonight but I think I'll pass. Just can't get excited about this, even to see it early and for free.

I'm catching this on Thursday night in IMAX - the Dolby screening was nearly sold out, but IMAX had plenty of seats, so I went for that.

Planning to rewatch T1 and T2 (2015 BD ftw!) between now and then.

Enjoyed it a hell of a lot, I'm still thinking about it a day later. Can't wait to revisit it on disc, might even go to the cinema again just to catch that jaw-dropping opening scene.

Popular flick in my area. At the moment, the wife and I will have the theater to ourselves in an afternoon showing on opening day.

The first 20 minutes of this movie, features some of the best action I've seen in a tentpole movie in a long time. It warms my heart to see so many people walking out of this satisfied.

I dunno about the "so many people" part as there were like five other people in the 11.30am showing I went to but YES, those first couple of reels were breathless for action, I was stunned. People are doing a lot of kvetching on here about how this ruins franchise lore blah upon blah upon blah but it's telling that they're focusing soooooooooo much on that and not upon the characters, the acting, the action etc because there really isn't a lot to complain about on those fronts. Instead they're letting their pre-determined dislike of the movie manifest in obsessing way too much about all the time travel stuff.

It's a shame because we've finally got a new Terminator film that's worthy of the name, it's not in the same league as the first two but as they're bona fide classics then that was always gonna be a tough act to follow. As it is, it's one of the better action movies I've seen all year.

I'm referring the the advance screening that my podcast hosted last night in DC in addition to the reactions I've seen online. The reactions last night were fantastic.

That must've been the screening I skipped. Was it at the AMC Mazza Gallerie?

Glad to hear it. Whether the wider audience actually bothers to go and see it is another matter entirely.

Can you explain that a little bit more? Thank you
