Anyone know if the 2 UFC Blu-Rays avalible are region free?

I can't confirm this as I do not own the Blu-rays but according to Amazon they are Region 1 (U.S. and Canada only)

lol. First off, there is no Region 1 for Blu-ray. Thats pertains to DVD Only. Blu-ray has regions A, B, and C.

Second, never trust the specs of a Blu-ray on Amazon.com. They have a reputation from just copying the specs over from the DVD.

i was so into ufc when they had mega fights liddel vs couture..liddel vs sliva..gsp vs hughes etc but now i dont know not really exicted..but i will buy ufc blus

Liddel and Couture are both washed up now. The 205 LB weight class is the UFC's best division competition wise. There are a TON of new superstars, you should start watching again.

To answer the question, axelmusic.com has the Ultimate Comebacks blu-ray listed as Region A only.
Recently I found out about the Best of 2008 blu-ray coming later this month, and it turns out that we, Region B/C people are out of luck on this one.

To be honest, I dont understand the lock on this, since the UFC is obviously trying to expand their territory it makes no sense to lock the Blu-ray when you do not have any B/C based studios handling the rest of the zones.

So yeah, bad luck.
I hope the new one will be region free but I guess they have their reasons for this.

ooh man this would be a dream come true... although i doubt it! Most of the pride dvds are 4:3 and not very good transfers to begin with.

My brother and I follow MMA but we're not particularly fans of UFC. They have good fighters we just don't like the fight series. I'll rent these Blu-ray's when they become available at my local store to check out the PQ.

We're big fans for Japanese MMA. It was huge in Japan before it picked up in America. DREAM and K-1 on HDNet!
