Sitting here when I should be sleeping hoping I’m not getting in over my head by moving out before both of us have our ducks in a row. I’m going to try to talk with The Ex today to try and come up with a plan to insure neither one of us is strapped. Might spend the weekend up in the attic pulling down collectibles. Has anyone had any luck with Facebook’s Marketplace? I’m trying to find an alternative to eBay because of their fees.

The scary thing about bad breath is you never really know if you have it.

It’s considered impolite to tell someone their breath stinks, even if it’s true.

I’ve often wondered if my breath stinks.

...there’s just know way to know for sure.

I've found that if you douse your shirt with unleaded gasoline, and walk through a pile of fresh dogsh*t before heading out each day, nobody is going to even notice your breath. It's worked for me all my life.

Trust me on this.

Always a treat whenever Ray Jackson and the Ellipses make an appearance in GF

I had something else on my mind earlier but I forget what it was.

If you aren't, at the least, writing all of this down and having it notarized BEFORE you leave, you are being very unwise. I understand keeping it civil, expedited and avoiding debt to a lawyer, but not having a notarized agreement would not be smart, for either of you.

1} Get it agreed on and written down, preferably typed and/or printed out. Do not sign it
2} Go to a Notary Public that neither of you know
3} Both of you sign and get it notarized. 2 Copies, one for each of you
4} Put it in a safe place.

Honestly, there’s nothing, and I mean nothing worth involving a lawyer. Let alone a notary Narcissus. She owns the house, her mom owns her car and I’m getting the title of my car signed over once the tabs are do. We have no debt outside of the month to month and a few separate credit cards. We moved here for a better life and we’re on the way there. Just not together.

Speaking of which, I just put a deposit down on a new place. It is a unattached studio (little house) behind the landlord’s house in a neighboring town. So I’ll be moving out towards the end of the month. I need to try and find a hideaway bed or something. I’ll be baby stepping on a lot of the rest until I figure out the month to month expenses.

Looking forward to hitting up some spots for free Veterans Day meals tomorrow. Will plan on hitting Applebees, IHOP and Famous Daves and then look forward to a good MNF game.

I had something on my mind yesterday but I couldn't remember what it was when I went to post. I wouldn't mind checking out JoJo Rabbit in theaters and I checked and it is playing so I may do that this week

Every time the Holidays come around I'll tell myself that I need to buy the handful of horrible Christmas movies I don't own. Why? because I'll find myself searching for them in the middle of December. At this point, it's already too late and I'm too lazy to seek them out.

I am breaking that trend, I bought a couple of them this week.

Happy Veterans Day to all my fellow veterans. I'm not sure how many of us there are across the whole board but I know there's a few of us in General Forum.

Pay someone $5 to tell you what your breath smells like. Pick some kid you know but only see once in a blue moon. Offer an extra $2 for honesty (or hazard pay if you think you have stank breath)

On a serious note, I've grappled with this uncertainty myself pretty much all my life. There are many reasons why someone's breath may not smell like roses (poor diet, even poorer hygiene, medical conditions, etc) but it's tough going through life not knowing if you have bad breath. It can actually ruin your social life because you tend to avoid being in close proximity to others for fear of offending them. I take fairly good care of my teeth so I think I have OK breath but, like you say, it's hard to tell sometimes. I've had people back away from me sometimes when we talk so I guess that's one way to find out

Not to be a pain, but, unless you plan on having zero contact and moving to another state where your wife and son have no idea what your life circumstances are, you need a separate contract laying out the specifics of what sounds like a very lopsided settlement, in the absence of a full and negotiated divorce settlement, mediated by attorneys and set down in writing.

If her mother owns her car and she owns the house you were both paying on and you are signing over your car and selling much of what you own, and you put that in writing, signing with a notary, at least four copies, two for each, then you are free to continue working without fear, as you have a clear statement of a lopsided settlement in which she gets everything and you walk away with nothing. If you don't, you should quit your job and ride a friend's couch for the rest of your life because the second, and I do mean the second, she finds out you are making a decent living, she will likely file for spousal support, to say nothing of child support, and it will be awarded, automatically, even if you don't appear in court, because there is no evidence of a lopsided settlement in which you get basically nothing and she gets basically everything, to convince a judge that support is wholly unwarranted.

A lot of people make the mistake you are making, believing that their ex won't get dollar signs in their eyes, if they suddenly start making a good living after years of struggling. You have no way of knowing who she will become in five or ten years and, legally, she is entitled to return to you for money at any point in the future, under federal law, for herself, and for your son through college.

Put another way, if you didn't know your marriage would end like this, with her being who she is today, you really have no chance of knowing who she will be in ten years. Neither does she. We change through life.

Again, I'm sorry to be a pain and I won't bother you with it again. I just couldn't not tell you, given your faith in a positive outcome and how often I've seen people with that belief end up in court years later, when they thought their divorce was long settled.

I wish you luck with it and I hope everything works out for you.

Is it possible to be immune to the effects of energy drinks? I usually only stick to extra strong coffee to get me through my 12hr shifts at work but a co-worker convinced me to try Bang and five hour energy and I haven't felt any more energy after ward. That said it's not a caffeine issue because my coffee boosts my energy levels remarkably. I used to have a horrible soda habit(like a 12pk of Coke a day) but gave it all up for a healthier lifestyle, now I can't even drink a coke without gagging....maybe that habit ruined all similar beverages for me?

Oh well these things are freaking expensive anyway, I'm going back to coffee.

Nah, you aren’t being a pain. You just don’t know the whole story. We’re good. So let’s move onto something else
