I've got some hectic days ahead of me.
I got back from work yesterday and relaxed.
I booked a Uhaul online and totally lucked out on getting the one that need. I'll be packing for a day or two, then loading the trailer.
When I leave, I'm not looking forward to the drive. I'd usually drive slower, towing a small trailer. But having The Mutts with me, means lots of bathroom, feeding and walk breaks. The weather is gonna be mild most of the way down, which is also scary because of the freezing rain possibility.

But once there, I'll be in bliss and everything will have been worth it.

feeling a bit like crap

it started last night while i was at work. i think maybe a customer came through with something and gave it to me. now i have a sore throat, feeling a bit achy, lots of phlegm.....good times

thankfully i'm off today and tomorrow...but there's some stuff i need to do in the house. and i have a dentist appointment tomorrow.

Two and a half more days left in Hell this week, then my one day off and back down here Sunday. I'm about to take my brother's advice to quit my job and hit the road. I don't know where I'd end up but I'm sure it's better than where I'm at now. I'm tired of being overworked and unappreciated, I can't even get any support at home.

Sitting in the break room for lunch. Too early to eat. So just trying to chill out, but one of my cashiers who’s working freight won’t shut up. I’m starting to understand why the ASM goes to his truck

i go sit/nap in my truck after eating lunch at work every day; too much noise (coworkers and the tv in the room) to be able to wind down for a bit.

I've had cold symptoms myself since the 5th. Practitioner I saw yesterday put me on an inhaler, pseudoephedrine and high water intake. Seems to be helping, hopefully the symptoms go away soon.

i had an inhaler once back in 2000. i had bronchitis and sinusitis at the same time. my only symptom was a very harsh voice, lol. i didn't sound like myself for about 2 weeks. i never had a fever, never had a sore throat, never had cold sweats, or anything like that; just a harsh-sounding voice.

doc-in-a-box gave me an inhaler and prescribed some antibiotics and a steroid of some sort.

Scoured google and job boards, applied to 2 more jobs, finally going to stop putting off going to the gym and go lift weights before lunch. Still poorer than usual due to not working since last Tuesday night so going to have breakfast for lunch again and then lunch for dinner. Might study before I go hide when I'm supposed to be at work but I've studied quite a bit the last 6 times I went so I may just study a little and spend most of the time goofing off.

Sounds like that job application I put in on FB for a dishwasher job today may have paid off. FB told me they want me in for a 5:00 interview but for some reason I clicked accept and it said I declined. I told them - ah they responded and said see you at 5. Hopefully they will hire me. Don't really like the 10 mile commute but would definitely be great to get a job right away. Just gotta remember to try to paint my last job in as good of a light as possible. Probably just emphasize that I worked there for over 9 years and smile a lot.

I haven't stepped foot in the break room at work more than five times in the last six years I've worked for there. I spend my breaks/meals out in my car, sometimes I listen to the radio or play on my phone, but mostly I just recline my seat and rest

unfortunately, i don't have a microwave in my truck.....yet

i'm in the br long enough to heat my lunch and eat it...typically about 15-20 minutes.

and for me it's not that i don't like my coworkers (well, maybe a couple of them), but i just want some quiet time by myself.
