Still waiting on Shout Factory orders of Demented, Blood and Lace, The Dark Half, and the Murders in Rue Morgue/Dunwich Horror.

They will. I ordered The Curse on the 7th. When I got orders I'd ordered since then with no movement on The Curse + 2 others, I inquired about that order. They wrote back that they had to re-manufacture The Curse and it could be 5-15 business days. (from the 18th)

Edit: Demented was another in my "The Curse" order.

Is The Fan the first of the Paramount pickups to trickle out from Shout? It's my first Paramount/Shout BD and, I gotta say, I'm very excited to see the Paramount logo on that Blu-ray case. It gives me reassurance that there are many more to come

Debating whether to get Shout's release of The Fan, as I wonder if there is a realistic chance of a UK label releasing it. Was there a slipcover with it?

Does SF have any plans to release more William Castle Films?
I'm hoping for Macabre (1958), House on Haunted Hill (1959), 13 Ghosts (1960) & Homicidal (1961)
How well did the previous releases sell?
The Tingler (1959), Strait-Jacket (1964), The Night Walker (1964) & I Saw What You Did (1965)

I notice that Olive films released 3 films on Blu
The Spirit Is Willing (1967), Project X (1968) & Shanks (1974)
Understandable since they are part of his Paramount Pictures, But I've heard Kino has gotten a hold of a few of his films as well.....

No slipcover. It's within the realm of possibility that a UK label might strike a deal with Paramount just like Shout did but are you willing to wait indefinitely?

"Macabre" would be great, but so far Warner Archives has that on DVD-R. "House on Haunted Hill" is already in The Vincent Price Collection, Volume 2. "Strait-jacket" and "The Tingler" have already been released as stand-alone discs by Shout/Scream. You might want to check out the Indicator/Powerhouse boxed sets from the UK. There are two volumes, four movies each. And I might add that the transfers are way superior to the US counterparts. And they are all region (A,B,C). I don't know how well "The Tingler" and "Strait-jacket" have been selling, but Shout/ Scream have been complaining lately about low sales regarding older horror movies, leading them to cancel Val Lewton's "Isle of the Dead" starring Boris Karloff. If Kino has gotten a hold of some of the others you mentioned, that would be huge over Shout/Scream.

Kino has Let's Kill Uncle. The other Castle-directed horror films from his classic 1958-74 period that HAVEN'T been released on Blu in the US are with studios Kino doesn't deal with (Sony and Warners).

Thanks for mentioning those towers. I'd never heard of them. I am thinking of getting a bunch for all my CDs and video collection.

Maybe this question is better suited for the deals thread, but I got a shipping notice email (w/ tracking) for the Blacula double feature this afternoon. Does that mean it's for sure coming or should I still expect a cancellation?

If your e-mail says it has shipped and lists Blacula as included in the package contents, then you'll be getting it. Cancellation notices typically occur before any shipping notifications go out.

I figured. But it's way more comforting coming from someone else. lol

That said, I definitely ordered it after the link erroneously went back up. So I guess I just got lucky for once.

I wouldn't rest completely easy until it's actually in your hands, but I'd be very surprised to see it listed in your order shipping notice if in fact they didn't have a copy to ship. The only cancellations I've ever seen from them came for folks that were waiting for shipping notices, not from folks that actually received notices, so while I'm fairly confident that you'll be getting a copy, we'll have to see what actually shows up. (If they charged you for the full order price and never refunded part of your order, that'd be another good sign that you are actually getting what you ordered).

From what I gather, all Shout mentioned was that The Body Snatcher didn't sell as well as expected. Does anyone have an actual source where Shout states they cancelled IOTD for the reason specified in the quote above (or any specific reason)?

**ISLE OF THE DEAD Update**

We regret to report that we have removed the title from our schedule as we’ve run into some special circumstances that will not allow us to meet our originally previously announced and planned Aug release date. Currently, we do not have an estimated time frame in which the title might return to our schedule. Should it return in the future, we will re-announce it again.

It is rare for us to have to pull a title as you know and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment. If you have already pre-ordered it directly from us, you should have received a cancellation email. If you have any further question specifically about the order, please contact our customer service department at info@shoutfactory.com
This type of cancellation is usually a sign that the elements they were planning to use for an HD presentation were unsuitable for release and no replacements could be located. Sales likely had nothing to do with this cancellation.

Its been about 4 months since the Comic Con announcements. Really hoping we get more phenomenal announcements in the coming months ESPECIALLY with this Paramount deal.
A new deal with Sony and Warner would be great as well. Don't think we'll get anymore Fox titles now that Disney owns them.

Here is my up to date wishlist and yes, most of these titles already have bare bones Blu-ray releases.

Alone in the Dark
Anaconda
Black Christmas (2006)
Carnosaur Trilogy
Child's Play 2
Child's Play 3
Bride of Chucky
Fear
The Guest
I Know What You Did Last Summer
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
Jaws 2
Jaws 3
Joy Ride
A Nightmare on Elm Street Deluxe Box Set
Orca: The Killer Whale
The Relic
The Ring
Santa's Slay
Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out
The Terminator
Thinner
Tremors

The majority of these titles deserve to have the Collector’s Edition treatment over their previous barebones releases. And I would rather have SF put these titles out instead of those garbage Hammer films and every other bottom of the barrel MGM title they keep pumping out.
