If so, almost certainly not 3D.

No, I would be amazed if it did.

Got my copy in yesterday with a slipcover too! That means the last 5 3D Blu-rays I have ordered from AmazonUK have had slipcovers.

If it comes out on disc I bet it will be on 4K UHD only, not only SM FFH but anything IE related that already has been released prior on disc will be flat 4K unfortunately.

Started off a bit slow and boring IMO, but boy did it pick up! Loved the super colorful, knockout special effects. Also loved the 3D in this especially when they kicked it up a few notches for the brilliantly colorful pyschedelic scenes. Fun flick!

Just got around to watching this this afternoon, damn... that’s some fine 3D!, great depth, fantastic real looking layers and some pop outs. Amazing detail and colours that popped, motion was great and I really enjoyed the movie itself which I did wonder about.
Audio was pretty good to and just needed the volume a tad higher as is the norm.

I was thinking of getting the uhd of this as it’s supposed to be reference but I won’t bother now as it’s perfect the way it is on this 3D edition, highly recommended from me!.

Like a couple of you, I received the email from Amazon.de about the Spider-man steelbook missing the bonus disc, and was wondering if any of you have heard back from Sony yet on the matter. I just sent my email out, but I'm curious if living in the US will affect this.

I agree with Panman40. I just received my copy from Amazon UK. I am VERY impressed with the quality of the 3d conversion. It is excellent!! One of the best conversions I have seen in years. Stereo D and Legend 3D need to be commended on an excellent job. This disc can stand as an example of the high quality depth that can be achieved with a carefully thought out conversion.

Even more devastating that the IMAX scenes were excluded!

IMAX for the Mysterio sequence would have been awesome.

Is the lack of IMAX becoming a thing now?

Honestly I'd prefer to have it both on the 3D AND the 2D as well.

Just got my disc in the other day but haven't had the chance to watch it yet.

Super disappointing.

It’s not a thing with recent MCU outside of Avengers.

It’s a Sony release and they had final say, and not Disney. If Disney had the rights, I’m sure we would of had the imax scenes included.

Just got my 4K/3D Steelbook from Germany. Lovely looking Steelbook with a very shiny gloss on both back and front of the Mysterio cover.

if IMAX Enhanced got off it's ass and actually produced more titles on disc it'd be a step in the right direction.

being Sony not Marvel and also their IMAX Enhanced probably the main reason... even exclusion of IE i don't recall Sony discs that have IMAX scenes?

My delivery from Amazon UK arrived Wednesday and I got a chance to watch it on Saturday. A solid 3D experience, until the final battle scene, when it gets REALLY good.

There were some scenes in the middle of the movie where I felt the 3D could have been used to greater effect, like
[Show spoiler]when Peter gets lost in Mysterio's illusions.
That scene kind of reminded me of the surreal scenes in Doctor Strange when he's floating around in other dimensions and the 3D looks amazing. I was hoping for that kind of experience in Spiderman, but it didn't look quite as good.

But towards the end of the movie when
[Show spoiler]the drones are flying around in the sky and Spiderman is swinging on webs all around the bridge
looks AMAZING in 3D! That final battle alone is worth the price of the 3D blu ray.

Did a rewatch yesterday, amazing 3D conversion, really great. The action sequences are a real knockout in 3D, with the drones at Tower Bridge being a particular highlight. I can't decide which has better 3D, this or ASM2. Despite really enjoying this movie though, ASM2 still takes the Spidey crown for me.
