True points. However, a lot of those I would never put in the superhero genre. The Lone Ranger, Time Cop, Barbarella, American Splendor, Inspector Gadget, and Power Rangers to name a few. That list has a lot of suspect entries. Some of which aren't even based on comic books.

Mike Richardson wrote a three-part story titled "Time Cop: A Man Out of Time" that was included in the launch of the Dark Horse Comics anthology series in 1992.

Timecop is a 1994 American science fiction action film directed by Peter Hyams and co-written by Mike Richardson and Mark Verheiden. Richardson also served as executive producer. The film is based on Timecop, a story created by Richardson, written by Verheiden, and drawn by Ron Randall, which appeared in the anthology comic Dark Horse Comics, published by Dark Horse Comics.

Ok. Fair enough. I did not that and will eat my crow. My point still stands though. A lot of the movies mentioned are a stretch for the superhero genre. Robocop is really stretching it there.

The character of RoboCop itself was inspired by British comic book hero Judge Dredd,[10] as well as the Japanese toku series Space Sheriff Gavan[11] and the Marvel Comics superhero Rom

Barbarella is a 1968 science fiction film directed by Roger Vadim, based on the comic series of the same name by Jean-Claude Forest. The film stars Jane Fonda as Barbarella, a space-traveler and representative of the United Earth government sent to find scientist Durand Durand, who has created a weapon that could destroy humanity.

All of these items have some ties to either a comic book or a manga. So going over 80 years.

I mean, Road to Perdition is based on a comic book, but I wouldn't call it a superhero movie.

It is not a list of superhero movies. This list is anything related to a comic or manga.

Yes, but this is about the superhero genre. Not the comic books in general genre. it's specific. Which means your list would then be invalid.

Robocop was inspired by Blade Runner more than anything.

Lol the only thing underworld has in common with marvel films is that they are escapist films. Tone wise they aren't similar in anyway. And yes I will continue to prefer kate beckinsale in tight leather and make no apologies for it .

Oh for Pete's sake. Can we just stop giving these attention *****s what they're desperate for?

Josh Trank, renown director of Fan4stic.

Everyone knows the truth, if Feige had called him up asking if he's interested in a MCU movie he would have wet himself for the chance. ******* hypocrite.
