Daniel Craig and his BLAND movies have ruined Bond for me. God awful pap is what they are. Trying to be another Bourne. Blah!!!

I would agree that Alita is not the worst movie, but it really isn't that great either. I think I might rather want to watch the other ones you mentioned than to watch Alita again though. So who knows?

In all his other movies it is nothing more than an eye roll, in this it is obnoxious for a couple of reasons. Firstly Sharon Tate's most important scene is turned into Tarantinos Pornhub search bar results. This scene is so beautifully played by Margot, giggly, hardly able to contain her excitement at the audience reaction. It is, as I say, Margot and Tate's most important, restrained and human scene and Tarantino decides that should be the scene we get Margot's feet taking up most of the frame for no reason. It has been noted before (by Margot herself) that Tate spent most of her time barefoot and so Tarantino was always gonna Tarantino with her but it's worth noting that this is I think the only foot scene with Margot. There were so many opportunities to have her dancing around sans shoes if need be but for some reason he overshadowed her most important scene with his own personal needs.

Secondly, it's amazing to me how many actresses in the age of Me Too are still willing to essentially fulfill the sexual preferences of a popular director for no reason. Let's be honest most of these shots exist for no thematic reason. This is the first Tarantino movie since this new "movement" but it all goes out the window as long as you can get in a Tarantino film eh?

There are many more things I hated about the movie but this stuck out moreso this time for me. I put this in this thread because criticizing Tarantino in these forums is like pissing into the wind. But yeah, he is still hugely overrated.

Agreed! Favorite for me this year too. As to the poster who doesn't like it because of a foot fetish phobia then I think you may have missed the whole point entirely. And I say good day to you sir! I SAID GOOD DAY!!!

Joker and Man of Steel are the only DC movies that aren't complete trash.

What you mean? I always struggle to find something on Netflix for years and years. Hulu and Tubi are better.

But that's something else to my mind. Whether or not someone is satisfied with the content, that's one question. But to be "overrated" in the first place, people need to be going around talking about how awesome it is, and doing it all the time.

I was confused because I don't see that happening all that often, so I couldn't quite figure out how it was overrated.

Pray that he never casts E.T. feet Larson in one of his films.

I don't know about that, they helped make the Irishman recently and their streaming/company has been revolutionary even if their exclusives are a bit thin. They also helped spike the success of the mighty breaking bad when ratings were tanking.

Godzilla 2014 is the only film in the MonsterVerse that is worth anything. The presence of Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, and David Straitharn elevate the material and Gareth Edward’s direction is amazing with some truly jaw-dropping shots and sense of scale and awe for the creatures. Oh, and I could see what was happening on screen.

Kong: Skull Island was bad and Godzilla: King of the Monsters was such a pile of trash I no longer have any hope for Godzilla v Kong which sucks because on paper that sounds like a dream come true.

I've enjoyed all three Monsterverse films so far but I'm glad I'm not the only one who has 2014 as their pick of the bunch; in fact it's honestly in my rough top ten of the whole Godzilla franchise. I enjoyed the vast majority of KOTM warts and all but I'll say it until I'm blue in the face, I can't forgive Dougherty's treatment of Sally Hawkins in the film. That's the black spot for me, still makes me mad nearly six months later.

The criticism of the fight scenes in KOTM being "too dark" is bull.
You can clearly see the monsters fighting even though it's night!

Also, it's weird that most of the people who say this also praise the heck out of the 2014 film.

TBH, it didn't really bother me since she was just a side character that just stood around doing nothing.
Unlike with Bryan Cranston in 2014. That was unforgivable.
