My copy of The Abominable Snowman shipped. Even though I have the Japanese blu-ray I'm super excited to get the full version and extras.

Adore the new art for April Fool's Day. Quite possibly my favorite they've ever done! They've been getting better lately IMO. They're looking less like graphic tees, more like actual posters.

I like the April Fools Day new art. Because of the plot of the film, I think it works really well. I always thought the original poster was bland.

Thanks for the heads up. I picked up GINGER SNAPS, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, DARK ANGEL, and NINJA 3 for about $50. Depending on how the VS sale goes (and if these prices still stand), I may go back for a few more this weekend.

The third party prices for Sleepaway Camp 2 are climbing up fast! Still thanking my lucky star that I picked the two sequels up (with slipcovers!) weeks before Shout lost the license.

Seriously, the audio track on Stigmata is just atrocious. All the weird dropouts at the beginning, very annoying. I emailed them to get a replacement, but I'm pretty sure since it's OOP they are going to tell me to piss off.

Huge surprise. I received The Abominable Snowman in the mail today. Now that I'm caught up on my movie queue I'll give this a spin tonight.

Unless Shout magically finds some extra copies in one of their warehouses, I doubt they'd do much to offer you a replacement.

UK BD https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Stigmata-Blu-ray/161134/ is reportedly free of audio issues and has slightly better PQ (despite all releases using this janky MGM HD master that was probably poorly converted from 1080i).

I watched about 70 minutes of The Abominable Snowman. It's a well done presentation a la the Japanese blu-ray. The sharpness varies with the SD portions coming in softer. There is a disclaimer from Shout! when the disc starts up stating as much. If you can get past the varying degrees of sharpness/softness you'll be very pleased. I watched long enough to verify the missing portions from the Japanese version have been put back in by Shout!
