No sign at all of Marc Grainger who played Georgie and was mentioned on the bonus features publicity.
Had a browse of the commentary and Madeline Smith mentions his non attendance so sounds like something cropped up on the day to prevent his taking part - which is a shame. Hopefully might be clearer somewhere else on the commentary.

I'm guessing there will be a few complaints after next weeks general release about the DNR.
It does seem to have been used to some degree but for me the detail is good enough and anything else would be too grainy.

Nice to have interviews with some of the cast and very pleasing to hear Stuart Locks comment at the end of the commentary about how satisfying it is for this little old movie they did 47 years ago to still be finding new fans and for it to have as much love as it does.

I've had it on home video since around 1983 when I got an ad free broadcast during the school holiday mornings on ITV. Its been a long time coming but how lovely to have the film finally on a release that treats it with the respect it deserves.
The arrival of the cd soundtrack recently is the icing on the cake and Talking Pictures places the movie where it always should be, 7pm on Xmas Day.

The Amazing Mr Blunden has finally arrived.
