Was initially bummed that it wasn't showing at my local IMAXs but it is showing at the Lincoln Square IMAX. Very happy I get to make this the first film I see on that massive screen.

This almost makes up for Frozen 2 dominating the premium formats for three freaking weeks in a row.

They're bringing back Apollo 11 in IMAX over here. Perhaps, it'll show up next weekend.

I suspect individual theaters had a choice. My preferred IMAX is getting neither and another one got Apollo 11 like yours. I assume the new Jumanji film will get all the premium format theaters next week.

It needs all the boost it can get now, if WB wants to get few more bucks from the piggy bank, and before the digital download. I don't think it'll make it to $1.066 billion, but I'll do to $1.060 billion (good for all time worldwide spot #33). ...Or unless it stays in theaters for another month, till January 2nd 2020.

Good because the National Board of Review had no Marvel or DC comic flicks in their top ten this year, zero.

A bunch of American and UK art got confirmed this week, including the UK steels. No one’s using the art you prefer as far as I’m aware. It had previously been used as temp art.

That’s standard Disney policy for most of their new releases to have the biggest and premium auditoriums locked for three weeks. I think it’s apart of their contract with theater chains who want to play their films.

January 7 is a long time away from now (for the 4K Blu); time to take the shelves out from the fridge and cool off ...

Saw this at an IMAX Laser tonight (not the huge Lincoln Square location as was my original plan unfortunately

) and it looked phenomenal. The detail in brighter scenes had my GF and I noticing things we'd missed during multiple previous viewings; it also made clear that the Dolby Cinema showings I've been to were relatively dim. Unfortunately the sound was mediocre, especially compared to the Atmos at Dolby Cinema: surround speakers and LFE were both underwhelming. That was especially disappointing since my only other IMAX Laser viewing, Doctor Sleep, sounded great (different theater however).

I suspect common width Dolby Cinema is the best way to see this in theaters but I've yet to find an AMC with one of those in the Philly/NYC area.

Honestly, just the fact it hit $1bn is amazing. Anything above and beyond is Christmas everyday since lol. I do wonder though exactly how much they might end up with and be close to Aquaman which is the highest grossing DCEU entry.
