Damn! IMDB took down the Rick Dalton page!

Rick Dalton's filmogrophy/bio should have been included as a special feature on the disc.

Do you know that point fighting has nothing to do with real fighting?

So Chuck Norris didn´t proof much more in fighting than Bruce Lee.

But I must say that famous full contact fighters of Norris´s era(Bill Wallace, Joe Lewis) all said that Norris would also be successful in full contact fighting.

But Norris retired years before full contact was around.
You're splitting all these hairs about different types of fighting. The point is that Norris competed and was a world champion. Lee didn't. We have no idea if Lee could take multiple punches to the face or how he would have held up under the pressure of competing with other champions. But we know how Norris did - and he did quite well. Lee's cult consists almost entirely due to his films, where he kicks everybody's ass (including a room full of guys). All these cinematic fights were choreographed by Lee himself - and he always made damn sure he won. The story of him walking off the set during a Batman episode because Robin was supposed to have beaten him is illustrative of Bruce's ego - very much in keeping with the character Tarantino portrays in the film. Another thing - the pictures Bruce made were sped up during some of the fight scenes.

Honestly, I don't know who would have won between Lee and Norris, but the fanboys who act like nobody on earth could have thrown Bruce into a car are deluding themselves. The guy was only human, after all.

Personally, I find Denis Villeneuve more inventive and exciting currently, but Tarantino is in the twilight years of his career. He’s starting to repeat himself, so his mandate to end at ten films is probably a wise and bravely insightful one.

After getting the email on Tuesday from Best Buy that my collector's edition was delayed and they would keep my order open until Jan.11, I was pretty bummed. I was all set to cancel it and backorder someplace else. However, I'm glad I didn't. I just got a text that it is shipping UPS today. Looks to me like eBay scalpers have a very small window of opportunity to cash in on this one!

Classic Tarantino was not like that, as he never wrote them 100% solo.
In writing and with directing, he needs an editor.

I find Paul Thomas Anderson way better of a filmmaker. But that’s my opinion. People will disagree, unless you have a mathematical way to prove Tarantino is best?

And it says on the Amazon USA site it will be back in stock Dec. 22. Currently priced at $75.99 so be careful not to order it ahead of time.

I enjoyed that as well....what a great scene. Also enjoyed the extended Charlie Manson scene at Cielo Drive. I DO feel that both of those scenes would have dragged down the film and are better kept as extras or on the rumored NetFlix miniseries cut.

I continue to maintain the unpopular opinion regarding the scene with Leo and Julia Butters, which I feel should have been cut for theatrical.

Just got around to watching this today. I read some posts here saying the 4K was dark-Seemed perfect to me. Granted my pupils were pretty dilated from the “wet”cigarette I enjoyed beforehand( best fifty cents I ever spent) . I didn’t notice any excessive grit described in the review either. One of the cleanest 4Ks I’ve watched honestly.
Still hoping for a Pulp Fiction 4K as well.

I never met Bruce Lee, but when I was heavily involved in martial arts, I knew those who did and were quite familiar with his traits, among which he was a great teacher - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post15922564

I admire Chuck Norris and Joe Lewis as well – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXdG577px94#t=5m23s

It doesn’t matter to me who would have ever prevailed in a full contact fight between the three of them, but I am of the same sentiment as Kareem Abdul Jabbar –
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/ne...ts-him-1232544
as even given the liberty of artistic license by the filmmaker, I feel in this case Q.T. disrespected the memory of Bruce and in so doing also hurt the feelings of his surviving family.

P.S.
For full disclosure, I may have some subconscious inherent bias as the vintage T-shirt from wardrobe worn by Cliff throughout much of the motion picture could have reminded me that Champion plugs were pathetic in my experience, e.g. http://www.pentonusa.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5184
And likely caused me podium finishes in more that a couple races.

Otherwise, I pretty much liked the motion picture and the classic songs from that era.

I think this is one reason why I got bored with Django midway through and gave up on it. Too repetitive. He needs to make some films where he deviates from his style and the same old fetishes.

So I think I may have a defective disc. This white line appears on the very bottom of my tv screen when I gave the disc a quick check out last night. I only wanted to watch the additional scenes but this white line seen here was present for when I viewed all of them (I played em manually one by one not all at once)

The first pic BTW was when I started the main feature. I skipped around and it actually disappeared after hopping around back and forth a few chapters. The duration of each chapter I let it play for (about 10 sec each time) played fine speaking for the film itself.

This is the first UHD I ever played in my 4K player (had it for a couple years now) and the first to be played through my TV. So what is going on here if that white line/glow appears and disappears randomly when playing the disc? This never appeared whenever I played blu-ray's and yes, I own a few other UHD's, gave them a quick spin/check out and the white glowing line did not appear when playing any of those.

Sony stuff sometimes does that. Just restart it and it should go away.

Good god people... this thread should be about the content and technical merits of the subject release.
