Jodorowsky’s first feature, Fando y Lis, tells of young Fando and his paraplegic sweetheart Lis’s journey through a series of surreal scenarios to find the enchanted city of Tar. An ‘acid-western’ packed with vivid imagery, El Topo stars Jodorowsky as a master-gunfighter who duels with four sharp-shooting adversaries on his journey across a desert dreamscape. In The Holy Mountain, Jodorowsky plays The Alchemist, a guru who guides a troupe of pilgrims on a quest to ascend the Holy Mountain in search of spiritual enlightenment. Jodorowsky’s new cinematic experience, Psychomagic, A Healing Art, explores the directors’ radical therapeutic work.

For Fear and Loathing, they charged me the day it dispatched. I preordered this set this morning and nothing has hit my card, so I assume it is always at dispatch.

Hmm, decisions. Do I pre-order from Arrow direct and pay an extra £2 for postage, but use up some reward points, or just pre-order from HMV and effectively save the £2?

Not the biggest fan of the artwork used here but cannot ignore this set. Waited way too long for this as I've been requesting it every year when Arrow do their end-of-year poll and they finally actually did it. Nice that it comes with both his new film and CD soundtracks for El Topo and The Holy Mountain too!

I think they are asking if this is getting a formal US release and to answer that question, we don’t really know. I’d lean towards no since abkco owns the rights in the US and who the heck knows.

Wish Arrow had collaborated with Mr Bongo to get Santa Sangre be included in this box set. That German digibook release is almost identical to one of those Arrow LE releases and as seen on CAPS, PQ is a big improvement over the existing US release.

Have been tracking this on Amz for it to price drop at ~€20 but hope this won't go out OOP soon.

FYI, Severin have done a new 4K restoration of Santa Sangre which should be released next year (in the US at least).
