That's what I was saying, the other ones suck.. I like the original better because it crafted a separate story around the strips adapted, with Charlie brown being depressed around the holidays and finding the true meaning as the original aspect.

However, the sequels were nothing but comics cut-and-pasted together clumsily and with no sense of direction. And they made fun of the original and modernized it. (Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales is the worst of the bunch, I turn off my TV whenever the credits are finished rolling for "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Things like expanding on the message Linus delivered in the original by having Charlie Brown say "Why does it have to be this one day of the year"? And even sacrilege like Lucy saying "I found the word 'sister' in the Bible! You have to give me a present" is hard to stomach. The original had heart even if the filler pieces felt like something out of one of the sequels).

I looked at the plot on Wikipedia and the Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales (again not to be confused with A Charlie Brown Christmas) and it's MUCH worse than I remembered.
