A thread to chronicle top transfers over the course of 2020. These are perfect or close to perfect on PQ. Noteworthy transfers will be added to the dynamic list below as they are released. So far from what I recall:

1917 4K the next reference title in 2020?...at least we're now seeing a lot more native 4K titles coming out plus a lot of titles are getting both HDR10 and Dolby Vision support...2020 is looking like a landmark year...I give credit to Sony for adding 4K Blu-ray support on its upcoming PS5

The purpose of the thread is to list great transfers as they release, built a dynamic list, and discuss favorites (till the respective point until a new favorite emerges).

It also helps those who want a quick summary on great releases so far.

I guess many folks have assumed this to be some kind of an award thread where the best title(s) is to be selected after reviewing every title released during the yr. A Joker and a Gemini Man, if they are great transfers, will remain great transfers (and you have tons of titles released in the past to know if these are great)

Well got Joker, Gemini Man, Jungle Book, Zombieland 2 coming this month. Doctor Sleep & Boyz N The Hood coming next month. So we’ll which one is the best so far in 2020. Have high hopes for all these titles.

If the Blue-ray that comes with UHD has the same transfer + the standalone Blue-ray releases with those transfers, more 4k transfers are already on Blue-ray

Silly thread to be made now, but regardless, Joker is going to be difficult to beat for the rest of 2020. It's currently #1, and will probably be there for a while, possibly even for the entire year.
