Although i thought this clip included the roof coming down, but it doesn't. I thought i had seen it before. Either i maybe just imagined seeing it or maybe it's in a different deleted clip.

I'll be waiting on IV-VI and Rogue One.

The only way Disney will ever suck me into one of their all-inclusive SW mega-sets is if they include new 4K scans of the original unaltered trilogy and that's the only way I can get at them.

Even when the writing is lazy, it should feel organic. And the great thing about a plot device like The Force, one can find it convenient, to use the latter as a reason... I guess since Rey found the lightsaber using the Force in TFA, it seems logical, considering

Those 2 scenes dont compare when it comes to The Force seemingly being involved. In TFA it does seem more like something is calling or guiding her to the lightsaber. Whereas in ROS she just accidentally comes across

The fact that THAT lightsaber was even with Maz was dumb.
And no, she had no claim to it. It was Anakin's then Luke's. Anakin lost it, Luke lost it. Luke made a new one. Vader made one.
If anything, hers should have either been Sidious' or Vader's

But then it wouldn't be red instead of blue, which would hurt Abrams' entire film IMHO.

Hell, since Luke was in hiding, maybe have the readily available Green saber.
Its just that the Skywalker Family saber was lost.
Randomly, and with no explanation of it being back was ridiculous.

At least in the original EU, there was an entire plotline of it getting reaquired.

Knowing the EU there’s probably a whole trilogy on how Vader picked out his codpiece so I’m not sure the EU is the candle we should hold the ST to.

There was some good EU stuff back in the day-- any of the books by Timothy Zahn I really liked, and a couple others. But man, there was some crap. I think the worst ones I remember was Courtship of Princess Leia, in which Han drugs and kidnaps Leia in order to get her to fall back in love with him (and it works!!), and The Crystal Star, which had some weird interdimensional being I never fully understood that eats people or something.

Oh, I remember that one, absolutely dreadful and easily the worst of the EU novels I read. The creature's name was Waru btw.
