That may be but, we still have a TON of great titles coming to Blu Ray. I'd rather see the original animated version on BD myself, since this is the one I grew up with. Not to mention that was released by Sony.

SOny version is the uglyiest thing ever.

HOWEVER, Metronome will release the orignal in BluRay in UK, Sept 14th. MetroNome version on DVD is awesome. Now prey for a A,B,C release.

Paramount's decision has put a damper on my day but I refuse to buy an HD DVD while Blu-Ray is still the powerful force that it is. To hell with Paramount, I had my copy of Face/Off imported in May. I'll buy Transformers on DVD and upscale it. Who knows since Transformers is produced by Spielberg it may fall into "Spielberg Movies" and will be released on Blu-Ray. I admit with the news I almost faltered and gave into buy a HD DVD player but I kicked myself in the ass and said "My format is not dying and will not die." but HD DVD is!!!!!!!! Do you hear Paramount...we know you'll be back with you tail between your legs!!!!! Hey Fox and MGM...where are my damn Bond movies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how to make paramount understand..just buy DVD releases of their movies while buying blu-ray from the studios that support blu-ray. make paramount wish they never even made this choice. because Disney will be the death KNELL of HD DVD without DISNEY HD DVD is going to not make it.

Stop boo-hooing over 1 title. Definitely by no means will Transformers sell HD players, at least not for me! FOX just handed us 29 titles in return. How is that not a silver lining??

I did not even watch it. Not my type of movies. Neither bourne trilogy. I'm really thinking that Universal's exclusivity deal is near the end. That is why M$ looking for its next prey.

As much as liked Transformers I would take the Alien, Predator and Die Hard franchises over it any day.

The only ones worth missing will be Transformers, The Bournes, Beverly Hills Cop and Indiana Jones.

While losing Transformers was extremely painful, I could care less for Shrek or any other Dreamworks Animation title, as far as I'm concerned they're all clones of Pixar movies. Yesterday I lost something far more important than Transformers, I lost my respect for Paramount as a movie studio. For them to chose a losing format because of Microsoft, a company whose sole purpose in this war is to tear down both formats enrages me.

Thankfully Fox stepped up to the plate and announced their new release title schedule. I feel that the timing was a bit delayed but it was extremely helpful, it helped to mitigate the damage but it was only a start, it isn't enough. I want Fox and Disney to start firing on all cylinders!! I want powerhouse Pixar titles like The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., Toy Story 1&2!! I want powerhouse Fox titles like Sunshine, Star Wars, Armageddon, Titanic, Man on Fire & for God's sake release Patton! These are the types of movies that will make Paramount understand the depth of their mistake. These are the types of movies that will break Universal of their irrational exclusivity! God I hope you are hearing this BDA your fans demand that you to turn up the heat!

Memorable Patton Quote:

"Now there's another thing I want you to remember. I don't want to get any messages saying that "we are holding our position." We're not holding anything. Let the Hun (HD DVD) do that. We are advancing constantly and we're not interested in holding onto anything except the enemy. We're going to hold onto him by the nose and we're going to kick him in the ass. We're going to kick the hell out of him all the time and we're going to go through him like crap through a goose!"

Whew, felt good to blow off that steam.
