Does anyone know if Match Point and Perfume: Story of a Murderer are Paramount titles in the US?

Thanks. This gives me some hope that maybe Scream Factory could release these here on Blu-ray.

Can we add some DreamWorks tittles from Paramount that deserve to be on Shout or Kino? As well as the Miramax titles Paramount recently acquired?

For me, here's some DreamWorks and Miramax titles that deserve to be on Shout/Kino/Olive films.

DreamWorks
War of the Worlds (2005)
Almost Famous
The Legend of Bagger Vance
What Lies Beneath
The Time Machine

Miramax
Scream (1-3)
Godzilla vs. Biollante
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Chocolate
The Crying Game
My Left Foot
54
Cold Mountain

Now here are some Miramax movies that deserve to be on Paramount's 4K Sapphire Series.
Pulp Fiction
The English Patient
Good Will Hunting
Shakespeare in Love
Chicago
Gangs of New York
No Country for Old Men

So, I noticed that there's a new Clueless Blu-ray entry from Paramount on the site, but it's being shown as a BDR. Is that really the direction Paramount is going in now?

There's no mention of rewritable media on Amazon. I was just wondering if it's been confirmed that Paramount's MOD program will be BDR instead of what Warner, Sony, and Universal are doing with pressed discs...

Yep. Mostly reissues so far, with the one exception being The Molly Maguires.

With so many blu rays competing for my limited dollars, a BD-R will never see a dime of my money. I don't care what they release. I would rather have a pressed DVD than a burned BD-R.

It's a shame, because I was looking foward to The Molly Maguires.

There's a bilingual release of Clueless and Mean Girls available for a decent price at Amazon. Pressed disc

King Creole (1958) and a remastered Fatal Attraction are coming out March 17. No clue about whether these will be pressed or burned.

A lot of new reissues are coming aside from CLUELESS. Also getting reissues on on the 28th are ALONG CAME A SPIDER, FOOTLOOSE, HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS, FOUR BROTHERS, VARSITY BLUES, THE RING, and THE KITE RUNNER. They all just popped up in Target's preorder section. Not for those prices though (except maybe ALONG CAME A SPIDER). If people want them that don't already have them, hopefully they'll come down.

For God's sake, Paramount, please release the original Out-of-Towners on Blu. I don't care if it's a BD-R, just release it.

King Creole would be nice, but only if it's pressed.

I'd be happy with any of my "wish list" titles being released by Paramount, even if BD-R.

Know why?

Cuz it's the ONLY way they'll get released and no amount of griping/petitioning will change that.

Know why else?

There's no evidence that BD-R's are worse than pressed discs.

Know why else?

Pressed discs fail too.

I will admit I haven't had a BD-R fail yet (I have some of the Film Detective and the Snappy Video BD-R's as well as absolutely beautiful, flawless BD-Rs of
[Show spoiler]Song Of The South, True Lies and The Warriors theatrical version, loaded with extras
. I still don't have much faith in them because I have had a few problems with Dvd-r's freezing, including brand new WAC releases right out of the box. Maybe these problems don't apply to BD-R's? I can only hope...

The BD-R decision does kinda suck. I hope if Kino strikes a deal with Paramount, they'll re-release some of those as actual blu's with maybe a commentary or some interviews to entice collectors.
