I looked at that screenshot from Kung Fu Panda and I did not notice the green light at all........ until I read your post. I have never really noticed any of the lights on my gear, but I bet I will tonight when I get home. Thanks alot!! LOL

my very first lcd tv years ago was a westinghouse lcd and it had the most annoying, eye piercing blue light for the power light!

i was very glad that in the menus for the tv there was an option to either dim the power light or turn it off altogether! wish other tv's would give you this feature!

it does not bother me too much on my panny plasma, but crackin...i might have to follow your lead...funny now how after i have read your thread and replied, the red light on my tv is bothering me! lol

Actually what annoys me on mine is when hand stains are easy to see, for some reason I cannot watch my TV while there are hand stains on the frame.

maybe not, but jesus christ, I would imagine your added lights and components blind you when watching a movie, unless you just did that for the pics!

We do, we do! Just for pics. Heck, I have black electrical tape over all power lights visible from my seating position - the Kuro, the Elite, the PS3. Only the APCs lights are uncovered, although those could be easily shut off, as well!

Mine has it too, it's just a small dim light blue-ish light in the center. I didn't know you could turn it off.

I never took heed of it before, but if I start noticing it now I know who to blame. It'd be akin to an emergency-exit sign in a movie theater, and that doesn't bother me, either.

Very cool, but just be aware that if you applied the duct tape to a painted silver finish, the glue in duct tape can possibly react with the finish over time. Duct tape glue can be nasty.
