I'm not so sure why this is labeled as misinformation from you. Do you have any links and reference to back up any kind of inkling or presence of 45GB HD DVDs considering that they aren't even in the HD DVD spec? Nuff said.

I welcome and embrace devices like these so the customer has maximum options and maximum choice.

To much choice causes confusion, IMO, this will inevitably cause confusion. Thus why you had advocates, from the very, very beginning calling for ONE unified format. Makes sense to me, and again, IMO, makes more sense for the HD market in general.

If I saw a Pioneer Elite Universal player ever show up, I'd buy that so fast it would make your head spin.

Good for you, but who here really cares what you buy? Moreover, why would it make anyone's head spin? If you want to buy it, go for it, but leave the head spinning drama for some other forum.
