The people there are fanatics, but they catch things I never would have caught such as:

1) the woman in the house behind Sun and Christian;

2) the fact that Dharma Initiative-ville is in total disarray in 2008 and looks like the Others never even took it over (including the fact that the dock is still intact, even though it exploded with the submarine in Season 3).

What do you think about the above?

I didn't catch that but that is huge because that must mean the future got change in some way. I'm sure the woman behind Sun must be Claire considering she is with Christian these days.

I'm glad that you were just joking, lol.

1) I didn't notice that either!

2) I did notice that the Others decided not to go back to it and are still in the forest after the military guys blow the place up. I'll have to rewatch that as I don't recall the dock exploding, but I do recall seeing an explosion.

Exactly! And there goes the whole "one timeline" or "whatever happened, happened" theory (assuming it's true, and assuming Sun and Frank actually landed in 2008).

Recall that the Others took over the DI's village and lived there for quite some time. Then the mercenaries came and blew some stuff up. But none of the DI signs, etc., remained on the houses.

Last night, however, we saw a hanging sign regarding the intake of new DI people. It almost looks as if the whole place has just been abandoned. Couple that with the dock being intact but in total disarray (lights down and in the water, etc.) -- it looks like people just left the place to the will of mother nature.

That actually makes sense as the DI '77 picture showed the Jack, Hurley, etc. Very interesting theory. Perhaps when the white light went off, everyone in the plane 'shifted' in time to represent the new timeline.

well sawyer did mention that faraday talked about rules. obviously some things can be changed

Nope, You're thinking of Leonard Sims. He's the guy that was stationed at a listening post in the South Pacific with Sam Toomey and heard the numbers.

Speaking of the numbers, you guys all heard them over the plane's radio as it crashed too right? Did anyone happen to catch the iteration number?

I think it's after. Young Ben made a point of closing the door before approaching Sayid's cell and showed no fear sticking his arms through the bars to hand Sayid the sandwich. Any normal hostile-fearing Dharma kid would've pushed the bag through the bars, dropped it and quickly backed away. Instead, Ben stuck his arms through the bars and held them there until Sayid got up and took the bag. In my eyes, that showed he trusted that a hostile wouldn't grab his arm and theated to hurt him unless he was released, actually hurt him, or even kill him. Also, when Ben lingered there at the bars and asked Sayid whether he was a hostile and they exchanged names, it seemed as though he was hoping Sayid had a message for him. He had to have already been working allied with the hostiles at that point.

On a side note, I hope this means we get to see Annie again! I also think they'll show Jack and Roger Linus working together.

Well, regardless of anything, we know it's at least been abandoned for 3+ years following the freighter attack. SO it should appear rundown regardless of time tampering. As for the Dharma stuff, I just figured that was Christian making it appear that way to recruit Sun for her mission or whatever. Specifically the picture of Jack, Kate, and Hugo in 1977. I guess we'll know soon enough.

Oh, and Frank DID land the plane in 2007/2008 (we'll call it the present). Right after the opening scene where Frank lands the plane, they show him ask where Jack and others went. This is immediately followed by the text "30 Years Earlier" before transitioning to the 1977.

BTW I called it about the plane landing on the runway!!.. And yes Young Ben is obbsessed with the Others.. He loves them and wants to know everything about them..He is not scared at all.. He saw his moms in S3 and she "Its not the right time yet"..So he knows nothing bad will happen to him.. Why did the Island heal Ben when he got back?

I'm still trying to pin down what Ben meant in season 4 when he said "He changed the rules." I would think that has to do with time travel, but how? Obviously he personally holds Widmore responsible.
