I’m a huge Cassavetes fan, but of his non-Hollywood films this is my least favorite. I’m not even going to get this and I have almost every Cassavetes movie out on blu-ray. The one film missing, which I still really want is Minnie and Mokowitz.

^^I get that, but M+M is my least favourite. Husbands is too long, but it has some really great scenes.

I'll probably upgrade.

Yeah, I’ve been kind of torn commenting about this film because I don’t want to mislead anyone. That being said, I do love all the films in the Criterion Cassavetes box set, but I’m not a fan of this one. I’ve seen it a couple of times - it’s not terrible, but it just doesn’t ring true for me the way so many of the other Cassavetes films do. That’s just my opinion. Clearly there’s a lot of people who like this film, so I would recommend a little bit of caution at best. And of course that’s prudent with any opinion.
