Just re-watched Interstellar, but first time in 4K.

Have to say, there are a lot of very soft focused scenes and bad color rendering when they are at the farm. the IMAX scenes are great.

Is it okay to say that I dug it? That I *shock* liked the new characters and my balls didn't shrivel up and turn into a vagina, while watching it?

Cause I see tedious bellends typing stuff like this in the DF thread:

It's more than okay to say. It ain't the world's greatest film but the vitriol being directed at it is extraordinary.

Yeah, it has its flaws, but I enjoyed spending time in that world.

I loved the movie. I thought it's agenda behind the scenes was not offensive as some cringy promotion of female-centric casting in recent years; nor bled into the film in no obvious or bad way.

But, come on. James Cameron so clearly leveraged woke politics by putting even more female emphasis in this than T2, and in his personal beliefs is super feminist and woke. He mentions powerful/strong women in every third sentence. Like he invented them, ironically. (and this is what those "bellends" are responding to)

Don't think its in line with your virtue signaling to be assuming those users gender, either

Watched: Passengers

Not sure why the official thread made the movie sound like it was terrible. I actually enjoyed the movie and the 4K quality was amazing. Can't wait to rewatch in 3D.

Passengers is one of our (my partner and I) favourite watches on the format. She loves the movie, so do I. Very fond of it. But the transfer, especially, really shines on the OLED. All modern space movies tend to. Alien, also.

It's a movie I like so much I want a steelbook of it to put on a forward facing display eventually with my others. But most them are steep on ebay

Really enjoy Bale's acting. Mangolds classic style of directing too.

Took a week off work and managed to watch 1 movie every day.

Prince of Darkness - Amazing movie. It might actually now be my 2nd most favorite horror movie next to Halloween. Creepy, funny, awesome. Great soundtrack. 8/10

They Live - Still fun. It takes awhile to get going but once it does, you are in for a ride. 7/10

Brave - Starts off great but quickly turns into a kids movie when it could have been something special. Still, lovely visuals and charming. 6/10

The Jungle Book - Incredible visuals, good story and as charming as the cartoon. I do wish it had a bit more emotion and a deep message though. 7/10

Die Hard - First time viewing. Incredible movie. Virtually flawless. Easily one of the best action movies I have ever seen and every plot device and action has a reason and payoff. 9/10

Predator - Probably the first time I've seen this all of the way through. Fun, over the top, ridiculous and great. 7/10

Rambo - Last Blood (International Cut) - Finally got to see the extended cut. Different opening and several scenes added throughout the movie. I think it's the superior version and adds some addition layers to the Rambo character as well as fleshes out the villains. 7/10

Terminator - Dark Fate - Honestly, not as bad as the internet hyped it to be. I actually enjoyed it for what it was. Linda slipped back into Sarah perfectly and had some great dialogue. Arnold was also entertaining in his role. Not a great movie and I had a problem with the over the top CG but as a modern sci-fi action movie, it was perfectly entertaining. 6/10

Doctor Sleep - Saw it in the theater and liked it. 2nd viewing held up and made me like it more. Rose the Hat is the best movie villain in years and the movie manages to do justice to both the book and Kubrick film. It's not perfect but it's a miracle as good as it is being a sequel to the Shining. 8/10

TRIED to watch: Once Upon A Time in Hollywood

Just couldn't get into this movie. Seems overrated AF. Don't understand why it gets such high praise. Actually, I don't understand why ANY Taratino movie gets high praise. Leo Dicaprio was amazing in it though. Maybe I'll try watching it again when I am completely bored out of my mind.

(glad i didn't actually buy this lol)

I have a few 4K UHDs on the way:

Crank
John Carpenter's Halloween
John Carpenter's Christine
The Fifth Element
Shadow

The last 4K UHD disc that I watched was Starship Troopers and that looked and sounded phenomenal.
