It will be the Disney+ transfer with a higher bitrate.

You are right. I didn't check if all of them were open for pre-order yet. Some are and some are not.

They'll likely be available in a moment. They're only setting them up now. Price will eventually be ~30$.

Is 3/31 the actual release date or a placeholder? I'm just curious since I have a bunch of Disney discs I'm holding off on buying from DMC so I can make the most out of a 60% off coupon. I can wait until the end of March to pick these up.

Ah, if I could experience these forums again through fresh eyes and an open heart...

But no, I'm just not tracking these releases. A 3/31 release date is often an end-of-fiscal-year placeholder until an actual release date is announced but I'm not a huge Star Wars fan so I'm out of the loop. Hence, the question! Anyway, looks like 3/31 is the actual release so it will only be a short wait until all hell breaks loose on these forums.

Which is still a DNR mess. It's a real shame that the movie can look better than it does here, but we will likely never see it that way.

Yep, same baked in DNR mess that was done for the theatrical 3D release.

There is kind of a "Project 4K99" thing going on, but when you look it up it doesn't exactly inspire the confidence of a sure-thing. I'd take a film print scan of the theatrical version over the current DNR extended version, though, that's for sure. I guess some people just think it shouldn't be prioritized over The Empire Strikes Back for some reason

It has terrible PQ on Disney+ either, and the HDR is non existent.

I know it hasn't been stated for certain, but does it seem likely "The Beginning" documentary will be on this release?

Bill Hunt at Digitalbits just posted an updated list of special features, and according to him "The Beginning" is included.

Is Disney really asking $40 for each 4K movie?
