Do we have any confirmation that the regular blu ray set is exclusive in the UK?

I keep seeing the "Limited Edition" terminology connected with the big Best Buy box. What the heck does that even mean in this day and age, and with such a huge franchise?? Is it just a marketing gag, scaring people like me into pulling the trigger -- or might I actually miss out on this sucker if I wait to see what ALL the packaging options are going to be? Thoughts?

It likely means it will be repackaged at a later date in a different configuration.

Also, everything is a limited edition, including you and me!

Umm yeah I know.

That is ridiculous, as are the changes made to the OT...the main reason I'm not buying these in 4K.

So once again, are you OK with the changes made to the OT?

Speak for yourself. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural....

I'm curious to see if the included Blu-Rays are going to use the Disney+ edits of the OT, or if they're just reprints of the old Fox Blu-Rays. My gut would say it's the latter, but you never know.

Weird, none of my discs are scratched, and even if they were, microscopic surface scratches don't affect playback.

At the end of the day, they’re just movies. And thanks to some dedicated and talented fans, the original cuts are available to watch.

Really happy with individual releases so I can just grab the original Lucas films. Not a fan of the box art design but I've come to expect it from Disney.

I cant wait to see the HDR in AOTC and ROTS.

You realize where you are...right?

I mean...if they're *just* movies then what are any of us doing here?

Now that we know the individuals are getting the same bonus features as the box set I'm strongly considering dropping my box set po and saving the money by waiting for DMC. The letter and the box arent much of an incentive for me as exclusives. Shame theres no exclusive disc.

I wouldn't blame Disney, necessarily. McClunkey was done before Disney and this might have been as well and just never included. I don't see why Disney would have any interest in screwing with the doc. They seem to be as lazy as they come and wouldn't be bothered in the least.

We should be happy emojis aren't put on back covers at this point.

I wish I were kidding.

You can find a list over at OT.com.

A lot of the Definitive Collection LD extras as well as the Leonard Maltin interviews and the "From Star Wars to Jedi" documentary (in poor quality) popped up on the official Star Wars YouTube channel a few years ago. Dunno how to post a playlist, but I guess you can go to their main channel page and search for stuff like "George Lucas" or "Ben Burtt", etc.

Whelp, kind of annoying that the set doesn't have exclusive pre-orders since the set was marketed as limited. Annoying that the only limited part is the packaging.

I still have my pre-order locked over at amazon.uk, but might cancel (I have some time, since it comes out April 20 over there) since from what everyone's posted, the individual releases straight up have the exact disc contents as the set.
